Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

how are you guys studying for nclex? anyone accept a gn position at hca?

Anyone use Uworld and pass the Nclex?

It kind of depends what test center you want to go to. Just be patient! If you have done all the steps you needed to do then it will come. Nothing you can do about it now, so no need to be anxious! I hope it comes soon.

I’ve heard good things about uworld , so I’m going to try that and using the Saunders book on my weak spots. I also accepted a hca position

When you check your application status on the BON website does it show that your affidavit has been received? Just wondering because Mine still says incomplete.

I used mostly uworld and reviewed material using the Saunders book. I passed first try

Yes, BON received and cleared my affidavit on May 14th
