Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.
I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

I don't have any reason to be concerned, I was just expecting a tentative written offer for comfort.
I received a verbal offer and was asked to apply again to a position created specific for the one I accepted, but other than that, I have not received a written offer. I just wanted to check if that was the general consensus.

Oh I see! I had called yesterday to ask about it and she said once she got an ID number from the manager that hired me for the position she will send me one. I asked when and she couldn't answer. I hope its soon then haha. Were you hired by Ben Taub?

Ok now I will freak out haha...I was hired at LBJ but I'm sure the way they do things is sort of the same because they're both Harris Health. I have a scheduled math test to pass to secure my position this week.

Ah okay, thanks. I was hired by Ben Taub, and I saw Hannah's post that she received a written offer after applying. I'll patiently await and see if I get anything in the following days.
On another note...I was not aware this med dosage test was required to secure the position. Anyone know what all is on this thing?

I'm not sure if it's at Ben Taub also, but if it is like at LBJ you have 20 questions and need 90% to pass. I was told it would just be the basics...know your conversions, drip factor formula etc.

Hi! Do you know if when we go in for our dosage test if they tell us if we pass the same day, and is that all we do for the day is go in and take our test? Thank you!

HR told me it was on the computer and your score will show at the end. I don't know whether it's the only thing we do for the day , but I believe so!
