Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

I accepted. I interviewed at MH TMC and did not receive an offer and was considering applying for the next cohort, but I really enjoyed the people that I interviewed with and believe it’s a good fit for me. ?

Hello sorry to jump into your convo lol. First congrats to you both! I was hired for the OR at Greater Heights. Have they told you any dates by chance?

Thank you!!! I did for St Luke’s but for Ben Taub I only received a verbal offer...

Is there a reason why you ask? I accepted my offer April 29th and still haven't received a written offer from Harris Health. Should I be concerned?

I am wondering did you recieve a rejection letter from MH TMC? They said we would hear from them either way, but I got nothing.

Yes, I did receive a rejection email that stated all their residencies at TMC and Children’s MH were filled.. ?

I didn't recieve anything from them?. I am not sure whether I should call them to ask about it.
