Houston Nurse Residency Winter/Spring 2024

Hi everyone! I will be graduating with my BSN this semester and I'm applying for residencies in the Houston area. I already applied to Houston Methodist but wanted to hear about other programs that might be interesting. Best of luck!

that's what I don't understand. she asked me what my top 3 choices were and said she'll try to "match me". but it doesn't make sense because aren't we in the beginning of the hiring process? I'm pretty sure they hired people through the hiring events

Yeah IDK, last time I heard I was on "the list" and would be contacted shortly after they received number of positions like 2 weeks or so ago. Maybe a tad more.

Was the recruiter referring to all locations or specifically the location you applied to?

I'm pretty sure whatever is in the houston area. she said checked kingwood, cypress, pearland, pasadena...

Not sure if anyone is actually in Houston but I got a email about a hiring event Tuesday 11/7 from 10 am - 2 pm CST at HCA Houston Medical Center , 1313 Hermann Dr. Houston, TX 77004 ! It's for new grads and current RNs . It doesn't say for which units . Registration is required so I'll include the email with link and the woman to contact if you're not local .

I'm sure they'll have something . Recruiters can be tricky when they're getting a lot of incoming emails and calls but going in person should definitely help !

Hi @Goofykid626 I have been wondering the same. I found one on allnurses but I don't think anyone is actively following that thread. I wish there is any page available so we can update each other.
