Houston Nurse Residency Winter/Spring 2024

Published

Hi everyone! I will be graduating with my BSN this semester and I'm applying for residencies in the Houston area. I already applied to Houston Methodist but wanted to hear about other programs that might be interesting. Best of luck!

Hi Guys! I also applied to various new grad programs in HTX. I am an out-of-state applicant and hope that doesn't put me at a disadvantage LOL. I'm interested in maternity, specifically L&D and Mother Baby. Good luck everyone!

P.S: Is it when the applications are closed recruiters/hospitals will start to look at applications and reach out? Just making sure I shouldn't freak out if my application statuses still say they have been received but have not been changed to "reviewed" or anything else.

Hi! Yes some say "received" and some say "under review", it just depends on when it was submitted.

Question for anyone who has applied to MH: did anyone find a spot to submit letter of recommendation, transcript, etc. ? I only saw a spot for the resume.

Specializes in Pediatric ICU.

yes there was a spot for additional attachments at the beginning

Are any of you starting with HCA for the March 4th cohort? I have not gotten information regarding a drug screen or employee health appointment. I'm trying to make sure I'm not missing anything!

That should've been given to you upon accepting your offer. I would reach out to the recruiter because the drug test especially is time sensitive. I applied for Summer cohort and have already done it except the employee health appt which I'm waiting to do
