Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

For those of you applying to Memorial Hermann, did you include your clinicals as work experience? Also wondering where y'all uploaded your letters of recommendation, transcript, etc... did yall upload in the same place you uploaded your resume?

Clinicals aren't work experience and I uploaded my LOR with my resume but didn't upload my transcript

My professors said you can put it down as work experience you would put the position as being a nursing student.

On your resume that needs to be distinguished under clinical time. Then your work experience outlined differently. Clinical time is very different then when you work in the hospital. Just be careful not to misrepresent your experiences.

Yeah no that's not what they mean by work experience on applications, they mean a job. You can put clinical experience under clinical/student nurse experience on a resume separately, just not as "work"

Did anyone get the behavioral assessment email yet? I saw someone saying they got one on here, but I never received any email other than the 2 confirmation emails.

thank you for sharing!! I ended up going with mother/baby as my second choice ?  I really wish they had general peds at another location. good luck to you!

I haven't gotten that either yet. I also never got the email from methodist sugarland about the pre-screening interview invites.

I’m hearing that some are already getting rejection letters from MH. Is anyone else experiencing this?

My best friend got one from both locations cuz of GPA
