Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2021

Hello! I created this thread for those graduating in December who are applying to nurse residency programs in Houston for the Spring 2021 start date. Good luck everyone!!

hey guys! I just received an email from Methodist this morning that said

”All candidates are currently being reviewed and finalized for the Virtual Pre-Screening event that will be held from October 12th, 2020 through October 23rd, 2020 by each Houston Methodist Location.

 

Communication will be sent to the individuals who have met the requirements for each Houston Methodist Location and the steps to follow to schedule a time for the virtual pre-screening.”

I received the same email, but did yours say for the Winter cohort 2021?

oh yes! the subject line says Winter 2021 and in the first sentence. I copied and pasted the exact text from the email haha 2020 probably a typo

Did you get an email from MH with an interview date or did you just check the status of your application on their website?

Mine is just interview status. I think next week is when they’ll let people know if they will interview them

Hey guys, I just checked my MH status and it says ''App under review'' for my first choice, which was Sugarland. Does yalls say the same? Or do some say Interview or something else.?

My 1st choice says “Application Under Review” and my 2nd choice says “Application Received”

Yes there is for Harris Health since we applied through their career portal! I can't remember off the top of my head but can check later. I just recall there is a link on their site for "Returning Applicants" login. For Methodist you can't check until you submit an actual job application through their career portal. So far most people have only done the residency program "registration."

For MH my career portal says "in interview process" but I don't know what day my interview is yet during the week of October 19th
