Anyone who has interviewed with children’s memorial hermann know when we should hear back? I forgot to ask LOL

The Nurse Residency program sent an email saying you should hear back 24-48 hrs after your interview, unless its different for Childrens ?

How was the interview? I interview with PIMU tomorrow. I’m nervous!

I was nervous. It’s my dream job so there is a lot riding on that interview. I applied to the NICU.
It was a large panel of about 10 people. They each asked a different question. It was things like “why memorial Hermann? Why this unit? Why should we hire you?” Etc. Also a few behavioral questions like “tell me about a time when...”

I prepared by just googling potential questions and rehearsing in my head and with my fiancée LOL. I think it went pretty well.

Just remember to be authentic and be yourself and speak from the heart. Let them know why they should hire you and what that job means to you.

Good luck!!:)

Finished my interview for MH Memorial City Neuro ICU! Now all I feel is nervousness LOL. My interview was not @michcoudurier'michcoudurier's at all I just had one person. Good luck you guys!

Did the interview last the full 20 mins?

Mine was about 15 minutes

Did anybody do a peer interview too?

Specializes in Neuro Acute Care.

Just finished my interview with MH TMC, for Neuro Acute Care. It lasted about 20ish min and had a total 3 (or 4) people, only one person in view of the camera but I think that was just related to lack of space to do the interview. They asked fairly basic questions, and one personal question (ex. describe myself in one word). I was told the normal turn around time is "quick, you'll get an email from HR within the next week max." They also said MH doesn't specify if they give you a day or night position until a little later depending on the needs of the hospital.

It seems every unit has their own way of conducting the interview and asked different questions. Good luck everyone!

I'm sure y'all did great on your interviews and thanks so much for the tips!

Jus finished my interview with cardiac care ICU. It was mostly behavioral questions, but one question they asked me about what interventions did I do for my most critical patient and why. Of course I stumbled over my words LOL. I think that was the only question caught me off guard, I should hear back in 24-48 hrs. Only 2 people on the panel. And she was hiring for 2 spots with 7 candidates.

My interview lasted the whole 30mins and we almost went over time LOL. She was really nice! She asked me when I graduated, if I had taken the NCLEX yet, asked me why Neuro ICU, a time I took accountability for, a time in which I was part of a team. And towards the end of the interview if I wanted day or night shift. She let me ask many questions though and she went over the unit and what they did. I prepared for like 20ish behavioral questions and only the why this unit was the only one I was prepared for to be honest LOL. I even reviewed Neuro content just in case and I didn't get any of that either. My interview felt more like a conversation if that makes sense.
