Houston/Dallas pay for experienced nurse?

Hi all,

contemplating relocating to Dallas or Houston from Nebraska. I’m originally from San Antonio but moved away for school. I have 3 1/2 years of ICU experience. CCRN certifies, always get stellar performance reviews. Currently making $29/hr. What can I except at the big hospitals in Houston or Dallas?

Also: sell me on your city! I’m so homesick ?

In Dallas you can expect the low to mid 30s.

Check out healthtrust work solutions. It’s the ‘“float agency” or whatever you want to call it for HCA hospital in the city. I got a PRN gig paying $47/hr on days and weekdays. But it’s PRN. They have fulltime slots with similar pay!

I'm not an R. N. yet, finishing my Bs in Psych. I already have some pre nursing courses such as psych, Bio medicine, nutrition but not P&A. The acceptance times are wayy too competitive. I need to be in the field soon for that kind of money! I'm a psychiatric aide now

I got offered 35.72 in the TMC with 2.5 years experience.
