Hello! There are a few threads floating around regarding applications to Houston GN/Nurse Residency positions. I just wanted to start one that discusses all residencies in Houston.
I have already applied for a Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub Nurse residency position. I have also applied to the CVICU, ER, and Women's Services positions for Houston Methodist, as well as an ER position at Texas Children's. I am considering if I still want to apply to St. Lukes. I have decided not to apply to HCA nurse intern positions because they pay beans for the first 12 weeks, and I don't want to work for a corporation that takes advantage of their employees in that way.
I have been invited to Ben Taub's information session, and have received an email from Memorial Hermann HR regarding a behavioral assessment to be an eligible candidate for employment.
I'm wondering where you all may have applied and if anyone has heard anything back from their applications yet?
Im from out of state and I am planning on relocating to Houston. Does anyone know what the starting pay for new grads at Memorial Hermann? St.lukes? Ben Taub? Or Houston Methodist? Please reply! Thank you!!

Base pay is $26.50 $3.00 for evenings, $1.00 for weekends and $4.00 for nights.

That's how I've been feeling too lol If it makes you feel any better I know someone that works at TMC and she said it was like a month before she got hired. I know that's like semi comforting semi not comforting. But all hope is not lost! However, I too have accepted defeat lol
Hey guys, do not give out on hope! The position that is for you will be for you. Keep your head's up and KEEP APPLYING. You will get something. It is still very early in the game.
