  1. I agree most nurses who take care of babies are typically in the NICU, most hospitals are now couplet care. However many hospitals have what you call TCN positions one of which I hold and we are at every delivery we "catch" the baby and take care of the baby during transition period until baby is moved from labor to the floor. This includes lots of teaching and feeding in certain situations if you are not a designated breast feeding hospital. You are responsible for any and everything baby until you endorse baby to the postpartum nurse.
  2. you passed RN!!!! That trick has been accurate at least over the past few days. Know some people who did it and they passed. Congrats in advance!!!
  3. Has everyone completed their pre-employment screening and physical? When do you take NCLEX and where will you be working?
  4. Where will you be working?
  5. I think so my friend is starting with 26.50 not including night shift diff.
  6. Depend on your site. My preference had two ays this month thr 26,27 and nothing until the second week of Feb
  7. I went to school out of state and my school sent my affidavit 12-15-15. When I spoke to the lady at BON she said that they were behind and that at that point they had only processed those that had been logged on the 21st of December. I got mine the next day. So i would check to see because if they were late sending it off then they definitely do not have it. Also depending on what area you are in the dates are booked up until like the second third week in February.
  8. Feb 8th got my OFFICIAL written offer from HR today. Super excited! Previously I had only gotten a verbal from HR and my written email from the boss.
  9. Me too, still waiting on my ATT, want to take it while I am still in the school studying mode.
  10. You will be fine, you got this girl!!! I made a 1089 on my exit HESI and everyone that I have talked to says that HESI is 10 times harder than NCLEX!! Now you still have to study as if your life depends on it but relax, you got this!!!!
  11. Hi I graduate in 6 days, yes it is possible with kids I have two as well. However I cant say that you will be able to accomplish everything that needs to be done during the day. ABSN programs are just that accelerated. Its going to take a lot . Of dedication, time management and lots of loooong nights and early mornings. I usually wait until everyone is sleep in my home then I study until 2 or 3 sometimes four in the morning, then I am up before they get up to study or prepare for the day. However I have only gotten two B's my whole program. Workload requires you to study everyday to ensure you keep up, but also depends on how your program is run and you wont know that until you are in the program. Good luck you can do it! If I can do it so can you.
  12. Unit manager sent me an email, welcoming me to the team. HR called with the offer and pay.
