Hello! There are a few threads floating around regarding applications to Houston GN/Nurse Residency positions. I just wanted to start one that discusses all residencies in Houston.
I have already applied for a Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub Nurse residency position. I have also applied to the CVICU, ER, and Women's Services positions for Houston Methodist, as well as an ER position at Texas Children's. I am considering if I still want to apply to St. Lukes. I have decided not to apply to HCA nurse intern positions because they pay beans for the first 12 weeks, and I don't want to work for a corporation that takes advantage of their employees in that way.
I have been invited to Ben Taub's information session, and have received an email from Memorial Hermann HR regarding a behavioral assessment to be an eligible candidate for employment.
I'm wondering where you all may have applied and if anyone has heard anything back from their applications yet?
I do know that not all emails and phone calls have been made. I was told by a reliable source that it could be until Monday afternoon. Was TMC your only choice or did you interview at another facility on match day?
I interviewed for women's services and did not specify whether I wanted L&D or Post-partum so I think they just stuck me where they saw I would fit. I am not sure when or if postpartum has started emailing yet. She did apologize for the delay though so they were late for that I'm sure they will be late for postpartum too. Hold out Hope sister.
Haven't heard anything from my unit. Im hoping they are just behind as explained to me. I definitely am sincerely happy for all of you who got offers! :) wish you all the best.

Have they given you a call yet? It says in the email she will call today! Im trying make sure I don't miss it.
