I am a recent graduate nurse currently working in med-surg and I would like to transition to ER. It seems that without prior ER experience, however, no one wants to hire newer nurses. Does anyone know if taking the Trauma Nursing Core Course would give me a better chance of getting hired?

At which locations did you all interview? I interviewed in The Woodlands and they said we would know by today. I also interviewed at Northeast but don't know if they also said that. Also, did they say if we would find out yes or no or only if we received a job offer?

I will be graduating this December and have an interview for a graduate nurse position in an ER. I know the reasons I want to be an ER nurse but I also know the interviewers are looking for certain "right" answers. Does anyone have advice about what I might be asked for the ER specifically as well as general interview question? Thank you in advance!

I just received an emailing saying I've been accepted for Spring 2014! I was beginning to lose hope!

I just received my acceptance by email. I'm so excited! As a reference my stats are: 3.486 pre-req GPA 87% TEAS prior bachelor's degree 2/4 first attempt A's I'm so very happy but surprised that I have been accepted. When I met with the advisor she thought my GPA would probably not be high enough so I'm currently retaking a class that I didn't even need to take. But, hey, I'm making an A in it so no harm done.
