Hello! There are a few threads floating around regarding applications to Houston GN/Nurse Residency positions. I just wanted to start one that discusses all residencies in Houston.
I have already applied for a Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub Nurse residency position. I have also applied to the CVICU, ER, and Women's Services positions for Houston Methodist, as well as an ER position at Texas Children's. I am considering if I still want to apply to St. Lukes. I have decided not to apply to HCA nurse intern positions because they pay beans for the first 12 weeks, and I don't want to work for a corporation that takes advantage of their employees in that way.
I have been invited to Ben Taub's information session, and have received an email from Memorial Hermann HR regarding a behavioral assessment to be an eligible candidate for employment.
I'm wondering where you all may have applied and if anyone has heard anything back from their applications yet?
I did not even think I was going to be hired for L & D because frankly, I thought my interview sucked, but I just recieved an email apologizing for the delay and inviting me to work. Lol
Im pretty devastated... I wonder if they can tell me wgy im not wgat theyre looking fir. Bc my interview went well... Idk so sad. So it looks like everyone has beeb called/emailed which i hVent received
Has anybody heard anything from postpartum or know of anyone who interviewed and received a call or email? Maxpuppy dont be discouraged keep your head up! All is well ends well. Did you apply to any other places?
My first choice was neuro and I interviewed with neuro, ny second choice i put in medsurg, i dont know what that entails.. Yeah im trying not to be but damn this sucks its friday you know? Did u know if anyone who sat with neuroscience team and have heard back? Idk anyone who else applied for this residency
I do know that not all emails and phone calls have been made. I was told by a reliable source that it could be until Monday afternoon. Was TMC your only choice or did you interview at another facility on match day?
