Hello! There are a few threads floating around regarding applications to Houston GN/Nurse Residency positions. I just wanted to start one that discusses all residencies in Houston.
I have already applied for a Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub Nurse residency position. I have also applied to the CVICU, ER, and Women's Services positions for Houston Methodist, as well as an ER position at Texas Children's. I am considering if I still want to apply to St. Lukes. I have decided not to apply to HCA nurse intern positions because they pay beans for the first 12 weeks, and I don't want to work for a corporation that takes advantage of their employees in that way.
I have been invited to Ben Taub's information session, and have received an email from Memorial Hermann HR regarding a behavioral assessment to be an eligible candidate for employment.
I'm wondering where you all may have applied and if anyone has heard anything back from their applications yet?
At which locations did you all interview? I interviewed in The Woodlands and they said we would know by today. I also interviewed at Northeast but don't know if they also said that. Also, did they say if we would find out yes or no or only if we received a job offer?

No one that I know who interviewed in the Woodlands heard anything back yet and Northeast two people I know heard something back one because they called. She said that when she called the lady said that they had not finished calling people and that they would do that tomorrow or so. Hope this helps!
Happy Thursday any update guys? Have u heard from aby other people they received a call back? I called the unit i went on interview for abd left a voice mail. Of course she did t call me back... 😂😂 my friend who is already in the program said she got a call back a week after the interview.... I didnt know anyone who's applying for this residency so thats the reason im checking up on here.. Thanks guys. Hope all is well
No update yet. Just called and left a voicemail. Waiting patiently. Hopefully for good news!!
