Holy Cow!!! Just back from NCLEX testing

Published

Hello all, I am just back from NCLEX testing and all I can say is what tourture. I don't know how others waited when it took weeks to find out the results. The test stopped at 75. I don't remember what the last question was. I was told by a Kaplan if it is a who should the nurse see first questions it is a good indicator of passing?

The test itself was not bad it was what I expected. Nothing I can do now but wait and pray and cruise the boards here. :lol2:

There are 15 experimental quetions that do not count towards your score. They vary according to degree of difficulty. They may or may not be alternate-type questions (drag and drop, select all that apply, fill in the blank, hot spots).

The prioritizing are "Which patient would you see first?" questions.

When I took the NCLEX Monday I only had two select all that apply, no fill in the blank, no number by priority and no mark the spot. But friends who took it on the same day did have some of those. It is all different and very individualized.

Swtooth, the priority questions were what would you do first or who would you see first.

Good luck to all.

I don't think there is any way or any reliable source to say whether the alternative questions 'count' or not. NCLEX is the big secret, and anything goes. There is no wavy saying 'I am not counted...don't worry about me'. I knew there were some people that had an unusual amount of pick all that apply, which tells me that quite a few of them must have counted. I am just glad that the nightmare is over.
