Hello all, I am just back from NCLEX testing and all I can say is what tourture. I don't know how others waited when it took weeks to find out the results. The test stopped at 75. I don't remember what the last question was. I was told by a Kaplan if it is a who should the nurse see first questions it is a good indicator of passing?
The test itself was not bad it was what I expected. Nothing I can do now but wait and pray and cruise the boards here.

I hope you did well. I don't take my boards until Aug 11. I am doing the kaplan online review. I am so scared.

I took my boards yesterday. I too ended with 75 questions. What a strange feeling. I found out this morning that I passed so I am relieved. It seems strange that it is all behind me now!!!!
Good luck!!!

Good for you new RN!!!!!!:balloons:
How did you prepare for the test and did you feel like the test was really hard? Were the questions worded like the study guides?
I have been working in the Saunders book all year. This past month since I graduated I just kept doing practice tests. When I got the answers wrong I really would look at the rationals. I took an intense review course at a local college last week. I also read the kaplan book. The questions were worded like the study guides.
I left the test not thinking that it was really hard, just thinking it was strange to get a read off of it. Two years of hard work in a nursing school for 35 minutes and 75 questions.......Seemed too good to be true!!!!
Study hard and you will do fine!!!

Thank you. I will keep drilling myself with the kaplan exam style questions and the rationales.

Great Job to all who passed. I am a new grad and will be taking my nclex next month. I also am studying from Saunders and Kaplan, but am not taking any classes. Is that bad??? So for all of those who have taken the nclex recently was it mainly priority questions? I feel like I don't know where to even begin to study. I'm from WI and we're told the test has changed this year to "Hot Spots, Pull N Drag" kind of stuff. Anybody have that on theirs?
I had no fill in the blanks or calculation questions. I had a few choose all that apply. There were a lot of prioritizing questions.
Good luck!

we "all" worry whether we got 75 questions, 265 questions or anywhere inbetween. we "all" worry whether we did or didn't have priority questions, medication questions, whether we think we got the last question right or wrong. there is truly absolutely no way to guess. the only absolute opinion is the answer you get from the board. all we can do is worry and try to handle it constructively

Actually, I think that a review course (in hindsight, of course) was sort of unnecessary. I just went through the motions that most people do, maybe it is traditional, but I did the review course, did the questions, and to me, nothing looked similar to the over 7000 questions I did before taking the test. I took mine last year, and I got co-horting questions, alot of neuro and digestive questions...some meds that came from planet Mars. I highly recommend to test takers the Helen Feuer Nursing Review. That helped me more than the review course. But, if you are reading and answering questions, getting a good concept of what is going on, then, I say forget the review for now. If, unfortunately, it goes south, then, consider taking it. Of course, though, I want you to pass the first time. Good luck!
Oh, I didn't get hot spots (thank goodness...I hated those), or pull and drags. I got many 'pick all that apply' in a row. I thought I was going to go insane. One math question.
