I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?
Well for some reason I feel like there isnt going to be to many applicants this spring. I dont know why. So I have no doubt 3.5 will get in. Even 3.4. I thing the low 3.4 and 3.3 will get alternate seats. But like u said smkelly, alot pf the alternate students do get in. Some people get accepted to other colleges or maybe they fail background or drug test. Maybe they didnt send in their acceptance letter in time. Maybe they didnt come to the mandatory orientation and forfeit the seat.

Exactly! Ahaha. All the other forums had so many people. Maybe everyone is try to go straight shot bachelors. O well. We will get there eventually. I was trying for.my bachelors also but I dont have an AA degree and I dont have my languge requirements. I could have done it this summer and did spanish 2 in fall and then applied. But then since I dont have an AA yet they would require me to submit my SAT scores and take extra classes. If I got.my AA at HCC I wouldnt finish untill end of spring. Plus I would need another semester to finish prerequisites for their program.. so I wouldnt be able to apply nd get in untill 2016 I rather get ASN and take classes on th side and earn my AA slowly while im in the 2 year nursing program and graduate with AA and ASN, and meet my language requirements. then work and get into a BSN part time program [uSF, SPC] ill be applying to both :)

That's like what I'm doing. In doing all my AA/usf prereqs this summer and fall, and the last two during the first summer of the nursing program. It's for sure a good plan to just graduate from HCC with ASN and AA. Then you can already be a nurse and work while at usf. :)
