I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?
No database that I know of. The key thing is that say you went to 4 schools, A B C and D. D was the last one you attended. Assuming D has all of your transcripts from A B and C reflected on D's transcript, if you do not send A, B, C, and D to HCC, they will deny you, even though D has all grades on it from A, B, and C. That is nearly exactly what happened to me when I was denied for Spring 2013.Turned out to be okay for me since it put me in a position to apply to several ABSN programs at the time... but I digress. The point here, I maintain that you are better off overpreparing vs underpreparing, but using my example again, if school D has no evidence of school A on it's transcript, and neither B or C has evidence of A either, then I would say yes, pretend your time at A did not exist and do not acknowledge it anywhere in your app.
That helps a lot...thank for explaining to Yaalisa...i was trying to get that point but u did an amazing job explaining it..kudos gradius!!! :)

You're too kind sir... that said...
1) I have already taken the TEAS twice as it was needed for 2 of the ABSN programs I applied to for 2013. I got an 80, far more than the 60 that HCC will require, so I'm already set with that part.
2) I live in Orlando... Disney/Universal/"any other fun stuff in Orlando" day anyone? :)

--I'm in for orlando day!!! :) i'm cool with any..i might vote universal! :)
Once out acceptance letters are received I think it would be nice after orientation once we all meet, but we shoild keeo in mind financial wise .. unfortunately 90$ to just spend on a day of fun for just me is a bit much. I have a family of 5. Lol I usually will spend 15$ on family day at 5$ zoo day here in tampa ahah. I get in free plus an addition person will get in free (compliments of my job) ad I pay 5$ each chid on 5$ zoo day. Im always having to be careful on how I spend . Soo 90 bucks to me I would feel careless, selfish, and guilty. Now I can maybe see a small gathering at like Applebee's or chillis, margarita are buy 1 get 1 ahaha and the plates are 2 for 20. I dont mean to be a cheapo or party pooper. I think maybe a few gatherings one for those that dont mind the extra cash, and one for those that are in a tight situation. .. sounds about right
Sorry for typo, I was on my phone typing fast
Girl I'm going to go their tomorrow & find out if that 1st page on the (OLD application) is a requirement. Everyone seems to be unsure & personally I didn't get the feeling like it was important to include it... Seemed more like a "check list" for the convince on staying on track.

I think we can do something like that! I don't have kids or whatever so sometimes I don't realize that..I'm in for whatever the plan might be :)...zoo then zoo or universal then universal or chills or whatever :)

Annnnnnnnnnnnd... that's why I said originally I wish I could meet you all since I felt like part of the family. I wouldn't expect a bunch of you to come to Orlando just for a get together when you all are already in the Tampa area. Just threw it out there for giggles. But it's okay.
Quick update, I faxed the technical school yesterday & requested sealed transcripts be sent to me & HCC. The lady confirmed she got my fax and she says she already put them in the mail.. Which is great! Until she added: I sent you unofficial and HCC official WAIT!!! WHAT?!?! that's not what I requested. She said I sent it that way, so you knew what you had. No, I wanted to put with my application. Just throwing another wrench in things. I feel like calling her back and saying send the right thing. I know HCC will get it, but the problem is, they are slow.
