I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?
Yes they look the same.. I don't think putting in the first page or not is a big deal, but who knows what they say.. Agh!! I guess I am bringing the new application form as well. They recommend to send it in 30 day prior and they change the form now??
Makes no sense whatsoever! ARGHHHHHHHH!!!
Hello ladies and gents... as for the application, the new one they posted is mostly to the new guidelines for fall of 2015 class going forward. The new application has the teas test included.. and just like the old form it has the background consent along with the acknowledgement that all statement is true. The difference between the apps is they have u initial and sign the check list now, they added "are you applying for any additional health science programs?", and added a TEAS test. I woupdnt stress about signing the check list because technically they just posted the new application. To put peace to ur mind. It never hurts to go up there and physically ask if the fact u signed an older application would make a difference. I dont believe it would. Me and briek turned ours in and she had the old and I had the new, we compared papers and they were the same aside from the above.only reason I had a new app was because I printed one out the night before because I wanted to change my campus options and didnt want to send my application in with scratch out from a mess up with pen. Not professional at all. O and the new app informs u to include 10$ extra for each additional health program applied for. So the new form I feel is to the next class behind us
Hello everyone,I'm applying for spring 2015, with 3.67 GPA. I have not turned in my application yet, but will very soon. Which is best, hand delivering or mailing? I'm not settled on my choices, but think my first 2 choices will be DM morning & afternoon. Best wishes to you all.
hand deliver...it will give u peace of mind :)

So if I'm turning in the new one I can just ignore the teas part?

SiL thanks for sharing this..i think this eased a lot of tension people were having! :)
I need some help!! I swear I've read the application so many times and just realized it said I need transcripts from vocational or technical. I went to a vocational school years ago for CNA & phlebotomy. I totally forgot about going there. I know, that might sound strange. I have no idea if I can get my transcripts in time, some places drag their feet.
I know people earn technical or vocational credits from colleges, do you think that's what the application is meaning? I'm really hoping so. I could scream right now. ?
