I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

I've read, as I'm sure we all have, previous topic posts on this site; it's easy to have a mass freak out here so we definitely need level-headed people to infuse calmness into our posts. That said, I'm like Silvach. I like to plan. It helps me stay focused, on track, and excited.

I just applied & for Spring 2015 & I just learned that my GPA is not as high as I thought (3.476). I've been seeing a lot of people with 3.4's haven't really been getting in. It's a crappy feeling... But I'm hoping for the best!!

Welcome briekass lol... well with that gpa dont lose hope. We are all hopeful and positive and we are helping eachother out and adding confidence. Everyone brie is a good friend of mine, and she finally joined yay... this will be a looong journey as IhopeIgetIt was saying. But everyone should remember acceptance letters usually dont go out untill September. Some highlights till then "omg my documents are recieved" "omg my check was cashed" those are the only two big ones im sure. Along with "yay im CPR certified" ahaha

Hello everyone sorry for my absence, I had surgery Wednesday do I have been off and on.. I silk have been unsuccessful in adding the pole. Does anyone know how I can go about it. I grief editing my original post and no luck. Maybe I have to sign on to a computer.

My GPA isn't much higher, I was freaking out at first but I think we got a pretty good shot. Spring pools are usually less competitive, my theory is because the pool is smaller than Fall's ( I might be totally wrong about that).

My advice is to look around past threads 2013-2014 follow the posts with similar gpa's. I saw a lot of 3.3's and 3.4's get in. This is what gave me hope! SILV and GRADIUS are God-sent, they have so much information and will be able to help you by answering questions. They have helped me a lot!!

Turned in my application on the 14th. I didn't submit the checklist at the very beginning the one we are supposed to initial. I am thinking about going back and submitting it with a note letting them know I forgot it. I can't believe I did that...LOL :confused:

Also Did anyone you download the additional Criminal Consent form the one that is NOT included in the nursing application? It's the same but I was wondering if we had to sign and turn that one in too.

Looks like application form has been changed since beginning of May. I might have to send in the checklist and criminal history form....

Yes ma'am that is exactly what happened to me, I had downloaded the application a couple weeks back, and the application has been recently updated. Ain't that a ******!....

I will go again on Monday and drop off the additional pages I missed along with the criminal consent for (the one NOT included in the package). There are 2 criminal consent forms both look to be the same though.........

Just wanted to throw out there that I have a college algebra textbook brand new still on plastic that I'm trying to get sell cause I never ended up needing it. If anyone knows someone who nights want it let me know! :)
