I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Can someone please help with my question. Ok if im a registered nurse already. I want to get my bachelor degree at usf. I also have an AA degree. Do I have to take human nutrition and life span development?

When I asked USF Nursing office, they said yes. I would email them and verify so they know your situation.

They should be able to send to your house. It still is considered an official transcript as long as you don't open it. I had all 3 of mine sent out twice from New Jersey. The first time I had them send to HCC and they couldn't find them. The second time I requested them to be sent to my home and they had no problem with it. I told them I wanted to hand it to them personally to avoid anymore confusion. They understood completely. My one school told me it would take the same amount of time that yours told you and then I had it by the end of the week. They rushed it for me even though I was told they wouldn't. Call again and tell them your situation...maybe they will help you out. Everything will work out for you.

I did. I sent an email telling them my situation and my transcripts were processed this morning. Hooray!

I don't think you need those courses for SPC's RN to BSN. Plus, you take one course at a time all online. It takes more than a year though.

Does anyone know what parking is like at Dale Mabry?

I was originally going for the N/W but that was when I was going to keep my current job. Now I've decided that I'll get a job as a CNA so N/W would be my 3rd choice. I have to consider how long it would take me to get to class from St. Pete and parking is a factor.

Parking can be annoying at HCC, but there you can usually find parking farther away from the building. At most its taken me like 7 minutes ish of actively looking for parking during peak class hours. I'd say add like 15 minutes extra for parking time and walking to campus. But idk if there is better parking closer to where nursing classes are. I usually park near the science building.

Parking in days SUCK at DM nights arent so bad.. but 5pm start time is still kind of packed. Just always have in ur head your parking far and walking... if u happen to run along a parking spot along the way to ur usual spot then great! Awsome.....

I also called and they still req the prerequisite u are correct.. thank u for emailing them about it. About foreign language do I have to complete it before or after or during the bsn program. I was going to do spanish 1 this summer but spring semester tore me down. I needed time off. And as for chemistry I dropped the class and took up humanities 2230 instead. Im hoping maybe ill get lucky with a good teacher. They don't have many to choose from.

I added the pole only me and another voted. U have to actually use the website not the application to see it. I'm going to wrote feedback to the app people and see if they can fix that

You just need to complete the foreign language before you can graduate so before or during. The chemistry is why I'm looking at SPC for my BSN. Because I have 12+ credits in biosciences, if I go there I won't have to take chem.

You only have to finish English I and II before the bridge program. You can finish everything else before/during/after(technically during because u can't graduate until u get them done)?

It would be difficult to finish in one year, but I guess it's possible??? It's 30 credits. (USF 2nd degree program requires 22 credits/semester) I would go slower if I had a job with ASN though....
