I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?
Because I'm from another state, we did Eng 1 and then Intro to Lit. However, my Lit class doesn't count possibly because it's Eng 102 or something like that. I read somewhere that you had to do Eng 2 within 8 years of the first. Does anyone know anything about that? I just wonder if I'll have to retake my Eng class in order to get into a BSN program.
I dont know of the time limit thing but if there is and u do have to take it over again, then u could probably take it in the summer since it would be a second time for u, and then take eng 2 in fall. Ill have to take spanish 2 in the summer of 2017 and hopefully be starting usf fall of 2017.. im hopeful to be full time so I can finish the program in one year.

I went to the advisor and she is the one that told me about the whole usf thing.
She told me if I completed the rest of the AA requirements and also the USF nursing pre reqs then you are basically in an accelerated program at USF and instead of graduating in two years you do in one.
A lot of the HCC nursing prereqs/AA stuff/USF prereqs match up and some satisfy others.
Next week though I'm going to go talk to an advisor and double check on everything and figure it out more in depth.
What do we put our nursing app and check in when we drop it off? One of those big gold envelope type things?
Smkelly, ok sounds great. keep us updated, and as for drop off. If ur at the dale mabry campus then walk into the student services building from the front, as soon as u enter turn to ur right. There is a little door in the corner, room 119 I believe. Its right next to the registration windows. There is a sign that says health science apps go here. U can put it in a brown envelope or white. I used a white one. Write ur name and student number along with health addmissions. Spring 2015.

When you say one year, do you mean fall and spring semesters or including summer? Is the course plan on the RN to BSN website for part-time study?
Hey guys I know lot of you have been freaking out about the BSN program...Honestly, take a deep breath and chill..I know it is hard to do that, but trust me freaking out about it won't make it any better...Remind yourself things will work out,I think we should all worry about getting into the RN program first b/c we got 2 yrs to plan n decide everything...I'm like everyone, I too freakout, but the truth is we need to get there step by step..trust me, you all will be able to get your BSN one way or another..I know many people might think I'm being an ass, but truth is we need to conquer it step by step RN then BSN or whatever...Focus on now and yes hope for the best in future...but don't freak out about BSN now...Sorry for being an ass..I hope this helped some of u!!!..we r all going to make and we are all in this together!!! I believe in all of you! :)

Once you getbur rn at HCC then u trasfer to USF. There program is 5 semesters including summers this is part time. All online. But if u go full time its 3 semesters including summer as a semester full time and im not sure if its online or not. But the part time program is so nurses can work and go to school.

No ur not being an ice. U are calming anyone thats freaked out. How I work is. I have to have a plan. So I kmow my next move before I get there. For instance... I habe the immunizations and physical form we need for our requirement at HCC. Im waiting to make sure its the right once before I forward it to everyone. Ill know for sure first week of july, if anything on the form is added. I also made an apt for cpr classes. Im off this summer and ill be mighty busy in fall classes, so I figure getting them done now will be best. Also about cpr. I got word that we may only be able to take the cpr class at hcc... but I will let everyone know for sure once I get any info. If anyone knows anything let me know. If u also want me to send u the copy of vaccination and physical forms that may or may not be up to date > just to give u an idea
