I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?
Well the entire thing 5 semesters for part time. If u get it approved by the program coordinator then you can attend full time and complete your bachelor's in 3 semesters. I Def have to be careful with my grades. Even though we are pretty much guaranteed a spot at USF because of the contract between hcc, I just have to do the best I can, for me. We only get one shot. I want to go through this experience not limiting myself, but expanding my mind. Just so I can say "I did the best I could do" and mean it. I know it all sounds so lame lol.
Haha no not lame! Thats good! Does the part time and full time include the summer semester? Or is it just fall and spring?
I took the required Englishes and a math at HCC Dale Mabry like 7 yrs ago lol. Do they still count? I can't seem to remember stuff as easy now that I'm almost 49. Tried Anatomy with ummm, Vincent Scalli (?) and couldn't get higher than a D despite studying constantly so dropped the class. I should try again but man....Are there profs at the college who make SURE you pass and work with you? I know the one woman at the Ebor campus is great but hard to get in there.

I'm pretty sure 7yrs ago still counts. I took college algebra in 2007 and it's still good. I'm not sure about the professors working with you. A&P is very hard & requires a lot of your time. I never did a study group, but you could try that.
I looked, it's been since 2003 lol that I took the english classes. Wonder what the cut offs are for getting credit. I better just call them.
Some of the classes I took in Japan in 1995-1999 were transferred, so I'm sure yours are fine. BUT, if you don't remember much, I would just retake it:)
It includes summer as a single semester. :)
Oh nice! So 3 semesters full time is a yr.... so for the people qho do the USF classes on top of HCC ones are gonna get there BSN so fast lol but I would love to do full time... gotta get those As though. It's all about time management I guess. Hey, does anyone know someone who is in the radiology program?
Hey my fellow classmates, y'all have any ideas on what I should do these last two months to prepare for this upcoming program? do you'll suggest I brush up on old materials like micro or anatomy so I'm not lost starting this spring. I took this semester off to work more to save up money and this is the first time I take a semester off so my brain feels like it forgot everything because it hasn't been academically challenge the past couple of months if you know what I mean. Also last time I took anatomy was 3 years ago, although, I did great I forgot everything now.
@ didi768 I firmly believe that if you study and do the homework there is no reason for a D. If you do all that and get a D, then the professor is not doing his or her job. Every prof is different. I personally had a great anatomy teacher at south shore and as long as you did your work, participated and studied for the tests (some teachers are ridiculous and tell you to study ch 1-30 while others give a guideline to narrow it down) then you for sure would walk out with an A or B. Good luck! check out rate my professor for help:)

Well the time span I gave u were just regular rn to ban program. Not the combined with HCC . The combined I believe shaves off one semester from the transition. It's all online if I'm not mistaken. But we will no more during orientation. 2 more days
