I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Yes FOR SURE!! Even some of us who aren't in the same class too.. if we are working on the same material!

Ugh yeah and if that's the case (that you HAVE to have the prereqs done first) then there is no way I am going to take chem, stats, and nutrition all in one summer... have to split up into the two. So that only leaves the 4th semester of the nursing program to start USF stuff. But honestly, I'm not sure if I wanted to do it the whole time anyways. That's a lot of work. I am wanting to become a CRNA now so I need the best grades I can get!!!!!!!

No way! I plan to be a CRNA, too.

Lol well it seems none of them are EASY, but it says our teacher will for sure make us better for the future lol

My ultimate goal is to become a FNP. We will learn more about the program on monday. So bring ur pens and paper. We will be writing a lot of info. I am currently in stats and it's no joke. I am at a low B avrg. I am hoping it will rise but looks like I'm sticking with a B. I have 2 withdrawls already and a 3rd won't look good at all. So we will see what happens s

I'm going to have to take it over the summer which sucks but I think it's best to struggle for a short time rather than a whole long semester lol

And from what I have heard a couple withdrawls is nothing!! Graduate schools won't care as long as you retook the class and did okay in it- and obviously if you have like 10 withdrawls it shows you can't commit to something lol but a few won't hurt

Trust me u don't want to take her. She goes super fast, we have had 1 test, 1 mid term,2 quizes, and 2 activity sheets. The first activity sheet was 115 questions long and ridiculous. We are on chap 7! While my friend is just now getting to 3. Her teacher may be a better fit for u. My teacher goes way to fast and does one example for you to reference and then she is on to the next. It's very frustrating because I like math. So I'm in the boat with u. Our and did I mention she makes u write down definition WHILE she is explaining that one example she has done. It almost impossible for most to copy something and listen and actually grasp what u r saying at the same time. By time I'm done writing and look up, she says "any question, any clarification" "okay great let's move on" while I'm looking like a dear in head lights with my mouth open. Lol. So sorry this is long. I was venting a bit lol

Haha, yeah my teachers notes just SUCK! She does everything right out of the book and doesn't even try to simplify it. And she doesn't take any time to get to know ppl. You come up to her and she's like who are you???? And she NEVER responds to emails! It's annoying!

But anyways, Silvach, are you planning to take the USF classes at the same time as our program?

Ouch I feel for u.. I know it's frustrating. And as for us I don't think I'm going to do it because I'm going to just do the transition after hcc is over. While in hcc program I want to focus on just that. I'll actually have just spc, AMH, cgs, and ids for my A.A. and I'll be taking Spanish 1 and 2 over the 1st summer and 2nd summer. I'll probably take am. Such, ids,and cgs during spring 2017

Thats a good plan. Yeah of I just wanted to be an RN and could get Cs in everything then I would be more concerned with taking the USF classes at the same time. But wanting to go to graduate school I think taking all that is crazy. No way I would get As in everything!! So if we just do the transfer after, is it for sure two years? Or can we shorten it?
