I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?
I haven't yet but I will be getting a cardio as well. What color did you get?
I actually stuck with black, because every one seems to be getting pink, or pearl, or coral. Some form of pink. I just want to be as professional as possible and who's to say I will like the color I get years from now?

I'll be using a stethescope I've had for years. It's a black cardiology II. Might be a III. Can't remember. But there's nearly 0 difference between the two. Don't worry about colors. Most clinicians use black and you can buy a sleeve or tag for it if you want to customize. I think it's good that your priority is professionalism. That's my plan too.

:) we have to make sure we have our scopes at all times. A nurse told me today, that someone stole her cardiology scope right off her station one time. I was thinking of getting my name carved as my friend suggested she is going to do, but I'm worried that the vibrations from the engraving would mess up the scope. If that's even possible. My scope was 150$ as a gift to myself. I am really hoping for 8 or so years with it.
