I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

One of my reports say she sets you up for failure in NP > slaps forehead

Hi Everyone. My name is Andria and I will be starting my classes in January as well. I just found this thread so I have some catching up to do. I just received my letter with my assignment. DM Afternoons. I wanted DM nights because I have a full time job. Does anyone know if you are allowed to change?

Welcome. At orientation we are allowed to change with another student. But good luck because there are so many people wanting to change. If u stick with afternoons, we will be in the same class

Oh I read about her as well. Just wanted to see what they all were about, in case I was missing something & needed to make a switch. But I guess I'll just keep the hard one, no one said it'll be easy.

Lol J Richey isn't giving me much confidence by her reviews.... jeesh. I don't wanna be a student who just passes everything with Cs- I need the As and Bs to get into a graduate program! STUDY GROUPS!

One question for everyone:

I talked to an advisor today about that new 3 + 1 program that HCC and USF are doing, but he didn't know much about it and just gave me a paper.

So since we are aloud to take USF courses at the same time... do we have to have the prereqs done first?? Like Statistics, Chem, Nutrition...

Because I am withdrawing from Stats, my teacher is horrible and if anything I will hardly get a C. I want to take it over the summer and really focus on it so I can get a better grade. But with the way I am laying my classes out I will have to take some during both summers, and THEN I will be done with the USF prereqs. So if we do have to have them done before starting the USF nursing courses then I won't be able to start till the last semester. But I would love to start earlier if I can! Ugh...

I'm in the same boat, I've not taken stats or chem.

I'll be in your study group for sure!

Ugh yeah and if that's the case (that you HAVE to have the prereqs done first) then there is no way I am going to take chem, stats, and nutrition all in one summer... have to split up into the two. So that only leaves the 4th semester of the nursing program to start USF stuff. But honestly, I'm not sure if I wanted to do it the whole time anyways. That's a lot of work. I am wanting to become a CRNA now so I need the best grades I can get!!!!!!!

I'll be in your study group for sure!

Yes FOR SURE!! Even some of us who aren't in the same class too.. if we are working on the same material!
