Hillsborough Community College - Spring 2014

Published

Hello all,

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.

What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.

I applied to Galen, HCC, SPC, EAYL, and there is an Christian College in my area too... Either way, I only have a 3.7 GPA (which makes me sad) but I need to ensure this happens this Spring. No matter where I am.

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be accepted. A 3.7 from what I've seen is almost always accepted the first time around. At least We only have to wait a few more weeks to find out:-)

Good Day All,

Had my first appointment with my PCP yesterday to start getting the required imunization shots. Got 2 shots to start and blood draw for my Titers. My arm is KILLING me.. :arghh:...

Wow..Your research for ENC-1102 is 3500 words? Dang. I think for my online ENC-1102 class it was 750-1200 words on "A Doll's House" by Ibsen. After that paper (and everything else) you'll deserve a stress free Fall semester, FX!

My documents finally showed up in WebAdvisor this Thursday as being all 'Received' :woot:. I was so stoked that hurdle was finished. I was figuring that Murphy's Law might have struck again, and I was going to have to jump through even more hurdles.

Anyone have any suggestion for nursing shoes for dudes? I never knew how darn hard it was to find white nursing shoes for guys! :nailbiting:

Hello,

Has anyone received their letters yet? Getting worried.

Hello,

Has anyone received their letters yet? Getting worried.

Don't be worried! They said letters won't arrive until mid September to early October

KelseyHoverkamp;7465259]Hello,

Hi Kelsey, As my lab partner/school-wife said, acceptance letters do not go out until the middle of September. Just try and relax and enjoy what little time we have remaining before the madness starts in January.

:singing: enjoying my summer, working hard to save a little money, cleaning my house, reading a little and spending time with my children, all while I wait for the famous letter..

I just finished my last class for the summer semester so im VERY happy to finally get a break.:) I will enjoy these next 2 weeks, and then start all over again with Fall semester classes. Im only taking 2 classes in the Fall so that should leave me some time to relax before we start the nursing program in January. Only 5 more weeks before and we should all know if we made the cut. Good Luck to everyone, I hope to meet you all real soon.
