Anybody applying ...? =)

Temp card looks identical to the card you get in the mail. Only difference is, the temp card has your name hand written on it and the card in the mail is typed out. I submitted my temp card and it was accepted with no problems.

For those of you on WIA can you shed some light on the process for me please?

I went to workforce at the begining of the month and the lady in the lobby had me type my info in the computer and then told me to come back on the 18th for orientation. I returned on the 18th only to be told I was not in the program after all. The person I met with told me I would qualify if I get there fast enough once they recieve funds and are in an open period. How do you know when an open period is? How long did you have to wait and what was the process to be in the program? Any hints or suggestions please? I really need this. I am waiting for my acceptance letter from HCC for Spring, but I have no reason to believe I will not make it in. Thanks all!

Just found out that I am "immune to everything"(their words!). So, only waiting on financial aid before I buy books and maybe even uniform stuff. Anyone applying for financial aid for fall 2012 gotten theirs yet?

Also, I don't understand why Elsevier doesn't offer the same package online. I thought they said during orientation that they would?!?

Thank you do much Katie!

So* much lol

Lol no problem :-)

For some of us, we got interviewed by the Brandon hospital(2 months ago) , which will offer a full sponsorship for 12 people(out of 33 interviewees). Those chosen have to commit to work for the Brandon hospital for 2 years after graduation.

Another way for you to get funding is by applying directly through WIA and see if you qualify, and that has nothing to do with the Brandon hospital, you just get money that goes towards paying for your schooling. You just have to catch them at the right time, when they have funds available.

If u get accepted for Spring, just keep checking your email, and see if the Brandon hospital is offering the same sponsorship program again. It's a great opportunity that shouldn't be missed.

Have the 12 found out and been confirmed yet by HCC and BH?
