Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
Just checked "My Documents" and they now say College transcripts status date 1/20.... guess that means they've been processed!!! C'mon March!!! Lets get this show on the road!!!
Just wondering when did you turn your application in? Did you include all your transcripts with your application. I am starting to freak out a little bit, because I had not included my transcripts with my application since I had turned them all in when I started at HCC a year ago. I feel like they are going to deny me because they will say I didn't turn my transcripts in with my application (I have heard of this happening! After I turned my application in a freind told me this). I just want my account to show everything processed so I can get my new life started!!!

I just notated on my application that transcripts were on file. I went in person to see a health science advisor & that's what she told me to do. I also emailed the assistant dean of services (i think was her title). She said the same thing, if your transcripts are on file with them no need to include in the app. If you're turned down for that reason alone you have the right to an appeal, no reason why they couldn't look your transcripts up in their system.

Thanks a lot, you are making me feel a lot better. I have put a lot of effort into making sure I got all A's the second time around, and would be really upset to not be accepted for a reason like this. Thank you so much for helping me to realize I could file an appeal if I get denied for this. I guess I wish I would have thought to put a note that they already have my transcripts on file.

That makes sense to me... My things aren't on file with them.... I turned in all my transcripts to the nursing dept. and a second batch to the office of admissions all in the beginning of Jan. I want to say between Dec. 30th and Jan. 3. In your My Documents it sould say Nursing Application and then a status date next to it. you can also look under progress toward degree.... as long as you see the A.S. Nursing as an option with out clicking anything, then you're good. but @kikilynn sounds sensible.... if HCC has your transcripts not sure why they'd need it again... they could just look it up... if you're super worried (as i would be too) i'd email MF. Are you a student of HCC already?

Yes I took all my prereq's at HCC. I have been emailing the nursing department, because MF is out on a medical leave. There is really nothing I can do now anyway, if there is a problem I will either have to file an appeal or just try again in the spring. The waiting game is starting to get to me!
I checked "My Documents" and it says "Student Acknowledgment Form" due ASAP from Financial Aid office. I haven't received financial aid in over a year bc I make too much money. Anyone know what this is? I'm terrified it might be viewed as a hold.
Also, under "Progress toward degree requirements" it now says Non Degree Seeking. I'm wondering if this is bc I just received my AA from them last term.
Hhhhh!! I dropped my application off the day before the final due date, on the 14th. Since then, ... nothing. I hear crickets. For the rest of you who waited until the last minute, has anything changed under "my documents" for you? I haven't received an email confirmation or my SASE in the mail.
