hello! i just joined this lovely and informative site after lurking for a few weeks. i'm planning to apply for the program after this fall semester. (need to finish a&pII and college algebra).
who else?! :)
edit: can someone walk me through the application process? i know it's pretty easy, but i like knowing 100%! i'm not sure if an adviser would help me much. i know you need high school transcripts, an hcc application and a nursing application. then you just gather all the papers (including money?) in like a.... manila envelope and mail away? or can you electronically send your high school transcripts to them? thank you.
Clinical sites are Lakeland Regional and South Florida Baptist. I am at South Florida Baptist. It's a smaller hospital but it was great place to get your feet wet. You will have Clinicals one of two days at either hospital. If it is like this semester you will be able to list your preference of days and hospital. I had A.D. as my clinical and she was awesome and I learned a lot from her. Definitely make sure you read the first eight chapters of your clinical calculations book because they do not go over it clinical labs. I highly recommend you get Saunders NCLEX Comprehensive Review. It has helped me a lot. That's the hardest part about your test is thinking like NCLEX. Typically there are 2 right answers and one is more right. The more you can practice NCLEX questions the better of you will be. Just a little tip, when you are taking your test read your questions carefully. I wish you guys the best of luck because I remember what it is like to be in your shoes and how excited I was about being in the program. If you put the time and effort into your class you will pass the class. Take advantage of every opportunity you are given for extra credit and always, always, always review your test and understand why you got something wrong. I say this b/c at the end of the semester you have to take the HESI and it is essentially a comprehensive final. Sorry for rambling on but I hope this helps you.
Hi everyone! I just joined the site and I have a question for you guys. I was accepted for the spring semester and had to defer because I found out 2 weeks before orientaion that I was pregnant with twins. I just got my acceptance for the fall, but I noticed many of you guys got letters last month. I was just curious if we will be in the same orientation. Mine is scheduled for June 15 and 16. Is that when everyone else goes?? Thanks!!

Hi everyone! Just joined today, and am excited to have found this thread...
I was accepted into the Fall 2010 program, but did not receive my acceptance letter until March 23rd!!!!!!, because of a mix up with my mail. Obviously I was hysterical, and after some time on the phone with the people at the Dale Mabry campus, they informed me that if I got everything turned in by the next day, March 24th, that I would be fine. Actually drove there that afternoon, and turned in my acceptance letter, consent for background check, and my $35 check.
Since then, I can see through my online banking that they did cash the check for $35, but I haven't received any other documentation from them, including campus assignment? I put in for PC days.
Does anyone know of any way to confirm for sure that I still have my seat in the fall? Called, but they said you have to email, emailed, but have gotten no response...
Also, is everyone's time for orientation on the 15th and 16th the same?
Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks!!!!
Hello! Our time for orientation is June 15th -16th I believe from 8:30 to 4:30. I haven't received my campus assignment or additional documentation either. But you should try to email M.f. again. she's responded to everything I've asked her, even if it took her a while (which was rare since she normally got back to me within a day or so).
Hello Everyone,
I got my acceptance letter when most did, completed all that was asked and have not heard a word from the school since. I e mailed MF last week and she e mailed me back saying that campus assignment letters would be going out on Monday. I have not received one yet. Has anyone received their's yet.
Nervous here

Congratulations to those of you who made it into the program. I am finishing up my first semester at the Plant City campus. Good luck to all of you. It has been a hard semester but it has all been worth it. Enjoy your summer because one you begin the semester you won't have much time for anything else. Once again good luck!!!
