Here is a crazy question

Are you older students using bookbags or back packs for school? You know I'm just about 30 and I just keep thinking do thirty year old students wear bookbags? Will it hurt my back, will I look like I'm trying to be 19 again. I don't have a oppinion one way or the other, just wondering. LOL is this a crazy question or what?

I'm going into my second semester of NS and let me tell you...there is NO WAY that I could have carried all my books, medical supply bag, purse, and other "things" without having a set of "wheels." I bought a rolling duffle bag at Wal-Mart for $25 and it was the best purchase I have made in years!!! No joke!!! It's large enought to hold all of my books, my laptop, and other things I carry everyday. It super sturdy and it's waterproof...great during a Texas thunderstorm. I may end up soaked but my $750 worth of school books stay bone dry!!!

26 in nj here. i use a "messenger bag" style. i go to a community college so i see all types and all ages. :)

Last semester I borrowed my 11 year old daughter's PINK backpack. I am 34! But, I am just starting out and will probably trade that in for another backpack soon. I like backpacks because you can distribute the weight evenly.

Knocking on 40 and I got a CAH-RUTE (cute:chuckle) messenger bag from w-mart. It was 10bucks so I know it won't last long (keeping my fingers crossed) but it was UNC colors and I couldn't pass it up. I have a HEAVY science load this year so I know I'm going to need something less cute and more "ugly" sturdy. I carry my laptop a lot so I need something to carry all those heavy books. I don't want to spend a lot but I'm thinking I may have to:no:

Did it have Barbie on it? :chuckle Other mothers would understand if it did...

I see a lot of "older" students using the backpacks that roll on the ground. I also see some ladies using a larger purse that can fit notebooks and small books. However, I think anyone can wear a backpack! Just buy whatever you think will keep you the most organized! Good luck!

AtomicWoman: LOL! Thankfully, she doesnt own a barbie bag or I might have used it! I would love to see the look on her face if I walked out the door using a barbie bag.. she would just die of embarrassment!:chuckle

I have used both depending on the number of books/classes I had at the time. Honestly though, most of the time I use a backpack (when my daughter doesn't try to take it from me!:D) I would NEVER use the rolling backpack at my CC! That would just scream Senior Student:chuckle

i'm 41 and i have a pink plaid jansport backpack... i don't know what others think of it... but i think it's cute and comfy :D

I just ordered the Zuca Sport. I ordered the brown frame and Calypso insert this morning around 11 am and they have already shipped it! I should have it by Wednesday.

Awesome! Let me know how you like it. I have not ordered mine yet because I am still pre-nursing and this semester all my classes are online. So I don't really have a good excuse to explain the purchase to my husband yet! Let us know if it is as fantastic as it looks!

I'm 50. I have a black JanSport from Sam's Club that I paid about $15 for. I've used it religiously for three years now; not a rip, roomy enough for several textbooks and takes a pounding when I toss it into the back seat.

I'm in my last year now and I use it as much as I ever did.
