a recently hired nurse at Corizon Inc., the private health care provider for the Arizona Department of Corrections, used one needle to stick the fingers of her inmate patients to test their blood-sugar levels, cleaned it off with alcohol and then used that same needle to draw insulin from the vials to administer the medicine. This error potentially contaminated the remaining insulin and exposed her patients to blood-borne pathogens.

I can't believe any nurse with a license would be so uneducated.

I wonder if it really was a licensed nurse.
appears so....
Talboy’s license, which she received in August 2012, has been suspended due to an impending investigation.
Yup...she's holds a RN and a LPN license....

All I could do at first was think "WHATTT?"
After I got over the initial shock, my next response is REALLY???
Why on earth would someone breach standard of care???
I see no reason to do so-even if they facility was low on supplies; then there would be a call to a higher up, not using 18th century methods to get the job done-THAT is not responsible resourcefulness AT ALL.
And this nurse, to me, should KNOW better.
At least she used alcohol to clean them.....
She is a new grad....her initial license is Sept 2013. Unbelievable. I have no words. I am speechless and that seldom happens

Even if she is a new grad she knows better. If she has held an LPN & an RN license she's been taught twice how to administer injections correctly.. ?

Oh my god in heaven. I wonder where she went to nursing school.
I just looked her up on the AZ BoN website license verification, and it says she was licensed in June 2013 and there's no notice of her suspension.
I saw that too.
