Hi! I need advice and tips for those who had pass the nclex pn. I'm reviewing but I don't know if I have the enough needed materials I'm using Saunders Q&A lpn reviewer and Kaplan strategies PN which I borrowed in the county library. Do I need to attend review class? Some are suggesting Judith Miller dvd but its too expensive. Do I need to practice lots of questionnaires? I need a good preparation and I'm feeling that I need to tackle from start to finish like Nursing process, Acid base balance, Endocrine system etc. and what is the passing score for LPN? I've been reviewing 8hrs a day and been thinking if Im doing it right answering lots of questionnaires everyday. Thanks. If anyone who has a good heart to advice me.

With the Kaplan Strategy book you should be off to a good start. I read it three times (one more time the day before the test) - with these strategies you WILL be able to pass the test.
I did about 1000 questions before the NCLEX with the Saunders Review Question Cards (http://www.amazon.com/Saunders-Review-Cards-NCLEX-PN%C3%82%C2%AE-Examination/dp/0721603920/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1298477512&sr=8-14). These were super helpful.
Don't mix books, stick with one publisher and you should be more than fine.
Good luck to you!!

I prayed, studied, and passed. I took PN nclex in 2009 and I would suggest you continue to do what you are doing which are lots of nclex questions.I passed at 85 questions which is the minimum for PN test takers. Good luck. I would also do alot of SATA. There were many.
Good luck by the way !
Keep us posted.

I worked through Saunders 3rd edition (Review for NCLEX-PN)...took lots of notes, did the practice tests in the book, and reviewed them thorougly. I had no clue if I passed until I got the results, and I did pass, answering only the minimum number of questions. You will find that passing the exam is not necessarily based on how much you know but on your test-taking skills.

I took the test last September, passing with the minimum questions. I can remember almost half of the questions being about "who do you see first?" Very fed med q's, and I knew those.

Thanks for the info. I'm starting to use Saunders Q&A review nclex pn its a good book. What can you say about nclex pn review by Judith Miller 2nd edition? Do you think this is an old book?

Most people do not find it necessary to attend a review class. Many pass only using the Saunders Comprehensive Review.
Thank you. At least I'm on a right track for Saunders.

go and finish answering questions and reading rationale in the saunders comprehensive review NCLEX-PN cd in the book and if you can afford nclex-pn qbank of kaplan which is $129 but if you dont need the book its only $100. BUT IF NOT KAPLAN STRATEGY IS GOOD COUPLED WITH SAUNDERS.
