I graduated this past May and took the NCLEX in July only to find out that I did not pass. I was devastated, especially since all of my friends had passed. I convinced myself to start studying again and took the NCLEX for the second time this past month. I did everything that I was supposed to from getting a good nights sleep to arriving 30 minutes early. I was calm and confident when walking into the test. There was no way I was going to fail again. I took my time reading each question over and answered to the best of my ability. When the test shut off at 76 questions, I knew I had failed. Once again, I felt like I let myself and everyone else down. The most upsetting part is that I did worse than my first attempt. I'm finding it harder and harder to stay motivated. Part of me just wants to give up, but I know I can't do that. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or how I am ever going to pass the NCLEX. I keep praying, but don't know what else to do.
PLEASE HELP!

I think it is important to identify your weaknesses and work on them. Make sure you are practicing nclex style questions. When you review the questions you missed identify if it is due to you being weak in content or strategy. Then find a resource that will help you with it. Also make sure to review the rationale to answers you got right. Practice lots and lots of questions. Good luck, you can pass this test!

Ok, wait. You took the second test and it shut off at 76 questions. Did you get your results showing you failed or are you just assuming you did?
I got my results saying that I failed again.

What materials are you using to study?
I have used Kaplan, NCSBN online, Lippincott's NCLEX-RN and LaCharity's Prioritization, Delegation & Assignment. I completed the Kaplan course this past June and got through half of the NCSBN course before my first attempt. I then completed the NCLEX-RN book and half of LaCharity's book before my second attempt.

How many questions do you do a day for practice? If you did la charity and ncsbn, then your content should be solid already.
And, what was killing you questions wise. Te content objective type, or the crtical thinking type?

Next time you are taking nclex don't tell anyone. I passed nclex in ny second attempt . What I did I used two resources for content Saunders and Hurst , I also used the 35 pages that is around here only to study my infections control only.. you.also have to learn strategies and for clues in the answer to eliminate the wrong first , then narrowed to the two answers..

I'm not exactly sure how many questions I was doing a day before my last attempt. I would usually wake up and work on questions for half the day. As far as content goes, I feel like I forget a lot of what I learned in school already.
Would you recommend both of those books for NCLEX prep? Also, what 35 pages are you referring to?

I would invest in a tutor who specializes in the nclex at this point
