Hi Keishapound!!! Congrats on taking the first steps towards a healthier and happier you! Do it for yourself and yes, you can do it! Take time for yourself!
I just got back from a killer yoga class. I'm too lazy to cook so I'm heating up a veggie keilbasa (sp?) and eating it on a whole grain bun. Could be worse. I'm having some veggies too. Blueberries for dessert.
Hello everyone reading this I am a 34 y/o female recent graduate and waiting to take boards on 02/18 and I would like to lose weight. I am ashamed to admit that at 5'2" I weight 217. Since school is out I am studying for boards and that takes majority of my time. I have a treadmill and walked/ran for 30 minutes Sat so please give me some encouraging words and advice on weight loss. I think this site is so awesome:pumpiron:

Thanks.
I went to my kick ass "power yoga" class last night. You sure can figure out your weak spots. Seems to be different each week for me. Last night it was wrists and quads. I have these big strong quads from years of exercising and they were killing me last night in some of the poses. Ah....always a challenge.
I'm working a 12-hour shift today, so no exercise, but I packed a veggie burger, kale, soy yogurt, half an acorn squash left over and some berries, apple and grapefruit, so I'm ready. :)
Tomorrow is a covered dish lunch, so I'm not sure what my approach will be, but hopefully will be one of moderation.

Mine is - I bring something I can legally eat, and then, if there is nothing else I can have, that's all I eat! If I decide ahead of time I don't feel deprived...
That's on my "good" days of course Tweety! When the goal is health, not momentary pleasure I will pay for later (and what I pay is not just extra calories but continued binging for days or weeks etc! NO SELF CONTROL! AGHHHH!) :innerconf
Ok, we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Keisha... No doubt about it... studying for boards is a very stressful time in your life. Keep up the great work. Exercise relieves stress and rejuvenates you! When you begin to feel sleepy from studying... get up and walk on that treadmill. It will wake you up... relieve your stress and you'll be able to go back to studying with a fresh start. You can do it!!
