This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
TG, wonder why you're sick? Could working hard and not taking care of yourself have anything to do with it? There are viruses out there and sometimes we just get sick, but you have to wonder.
I'm feeling good these days. I'm still eating 90% vegetarian and mostly vegan at that. My BP was 118/77 yesterday!!! w00t! Much better than the 150/90 high that it was around the holidays. I made it to the gym 4 times since Saturday, which is my goal. Tonight I'm taking a nap after work. LOL

AMAZING to hear how different you feel and how your body responds! Great job Tweety!!
Hello everyone,
It's been a long time since I posted. Homeschool, managing my home and managing my emotions has been difficult. I'm glad the holidays are over and am enjoying settling back down again.
the kids are in T-ball and baseball which isn't too hard on the mommy.
Weightloss is steady, albeit slow. nonetheless, i am gratefully back down by 5lbs. I need to drop alot more, but this is a start.
Thanks for listening and reading.

AWESOME GENTLE!!! Whoo hoo!
I've regained 5 of my 10 since Christmas, just stopped doing what I was doing. I may have been losing it slowly then but at least I was losing! You are doing the right thing, forward is better than backward! Hopefully I will pick up the torch again soon... xo
Zoe, pick and that torch and pass it my way. I decided to weigh yesterday for the first time in a long time, and I've gained back the few I started to loose. At least I haven't gained a whole lot, but I'm unahppy with where I am. I'm just too lazy to go on a calorie reduction. I don't mind eating healthy and exercising, but cutting the calories to loose the weight is not something I seem willing to do at the moment.
Howeer, I was inspired when I was trying on my dress clothes to go to the theater and nothing in my closet fit, but for one pair of pants. So I can fit into one pair of dress pants, two pairs of jeans. Thank goodness I have lots of shorts I fit into and it's Florida. Even my dress shirt was tight.
Sigh.............at least I'm exercising, eating well and feeling good.

Well I'm not really doing even that - sigh. I know I eat for comfort. And I have "hurties" from Dad not really recuperating from his surgery and from missing my son, also quite a bit of boredom. Stupidest STUPIDEST excuses... anyway - I had to stop wearing some of the clothes I'd started fitting into - ticks me off - I keep visualizing myself in my head doing the exercise - committing to eating right - yet, haven't translated that into action - it seems so EASY in my head! Sigh...
So where did you go dressed up?
edit: to the theatre. Ok, what show and was it good?
Hello all I have not posted in awhile because I was studying for boards and I passed on 021507 and have sworn to exercise and lose weight but I have no motivation right now and could use some encouragement. I am always excited to read these posts so any and every advice is welcome. Keisha RN now that sounds great:yeah:
kesisha, give yourself a little to for the no-studying mode to really sink in. But then get with it. A good exercise program will help you with the stress of being a new grad.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I know what you mean, I had a list of things I would do when I finished my RN to BSN....and that was August. I'm working on it. LOL
