... alltogether I have lost something like 50 since the beginning of last summer and seem to be yo-yoing in about a 5-lb range right now ...
I think I will add that 50 then! (since I AM the tally man ... lol) [daylight come and me wanna go home ]
Plus, mine ONE this week!
So - grand total is (drumroll) --
125 lb! yayyy!
Ha ha. The worst part of bending down is having to get back up, though...
Yep, my littlest is two and the rest just go on up to grown and out of the house. They would definitely go with me; I just wouldn't get far very fast with all of them, LOL. But, we do go on good walks sometimes; I bribe them with Subway or a book--that way even the ones that don't want to go, still do....
Yep, that's why when I am down there (bending over) I look around to see if there is anything else I can do before I come back up, har har.
Cute to have little wee ones along ... well you could get a big backpack and put em all in - THAT would be a workout!
Someone at the Halloween Party mentioned I look like I've lost weight. Especially in my face. Well, at 50 . . . that isn't exactly what you want.
;)
I'll have to weigh in tomorrow. I'm not even tempted by all this Halloween candy . .. amazing.
Ha ha about the face - you're right! I keep lifting up my eyebrows ... (dad had a facelift at 75 y.o. ... lol)
I'm doing ok w/ the candy too, haven't touched it, felt a BIT of a craving but I kept it in the freezer so I wouldn't keep looking at it. I don't trust my baser self - so I am taking it to work w/ me today...
...as I loose weight in my face I tend to look a bit older because the fat fills out the wrinkles. Where's the justice in that!
TOTALLY unfair!
You are making me think of all those new products that "reduce the appearance of" wrinkles. Guess it's time to go shopping!!
Glad you had a blast at the party Sarah!Steph, I know what you mean, as I loose weight in my face I tend to look a bit older because the fat fills out the wrinkles. Where's the justice in that! At least people are noticing. I've lost 7 pounds and no one has said a word. Whatever. LOL
When I was in college, one of my mother's good friends (who actually mothered me better than my mom but that is another story) lost a lot of weight. She had been overweight but active. She hated the way her face looked - wrinkled. She gained weight back to fill out the wrinkles again.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. ;) (that is PG, right?)
steph
Yes, Steph, it's PG, PG-13 for sure. LOL
A guy at work was shocked the other day when I told him I was 48...he said he tought I was in my 30's. Guess I don't act my age. LOL
I had a bad week. Very lazy and poor eating. The scale at the gym said I gained 4 lbs, which is tragic if true. My weight fluctuates dramatically from day to day, so I'm praying it's not the real story. I'm doing good now. I was watching Ophra at the gym and they were giving some hints on staying young, basically diet and exercise, stuff I already know, but I need inspiration constantly. LOL
Tweets - you do look young. People are surprised I'm 50 but I think it has to do with a cute little redheaded boy who follows me around.
He is in the process of taking our rotting pumpkins around to the burn pile . . . they are falling apart on him. It is a beautiful day - I've been raking leaves off of lush green grass. Love this Indian Summer weather.
I didn't weigh myself at the gym because I didn't go to the gym. Partly because I've been sick and partly because I've been lazy.
No appetite yet . . .

Woo hoo. Good job :).
Yep, we make quite a parade--only topped by my carrying a bunch of little ones in a backpack. But, think of all the weight I'd gain when I'd be in the hospital in traction for my poor broken back...
Isn't it always time to go shopping???

ha ha ...
I would LOSE wt - because I'd lose access to the fridge!
Well I made it thru hallowe'en candy, had bought a large bag and only had 2 trick or treaters - took the remainder to work! yayyy!
WooHoo guys! We are kicking weight-loss behind - yeay!
The Halloween candy is too much of a temptation for me, so proud of you that can avoid it! I'm glad I have clinicals this weekend, hopefully it will be busy and I will walk constantly to make up for the chocolate, hehe.
My weigh-in partner is headed to Hawaii next week, so I have a feeling we won't weigh for a couple of weeks, so my goal is going to be to make sure my jeans continue to fit, LOL! That seems to be the hardest thing to do anyway.
Have a great weekend y'all!
2 more pounds - but there are two scales at the gym. One is a home bathroom scale and one is a bigger, more professional style. Not the kind at the hospital or docs office though.
I'm going with the low estimate.
When I was trying to sleep last night I got out my Atkins book to re-read. I got to the "Induction" chapter, which I'm doing right now, and it was mentioned that you will be surprised about not being hungry. I forgot about reading that the first time. I am experiencing NO APPETITE. Weird.
Did an hour on the elliptical machine and then did 20 minutes of weights.
What is the deal? Why am I being good? Who took over my mind and body and what did they do with Stephanie??

OK, tally time for me :). I lost 2 more this week for a total of 13 pounds. Yay!How's everybody else doing? Thank God H-ween is over. Got a lot of walking done, and only stole 2 Hershey miniature darks from the kiddos. They didn't want 'em anyway. :)
Aren't the darks good for you? Congratulations!!

That's cool that you have a partner, did you guys make a "contract" before he/she left? Good luck! I do terrible w/ partners ...

{{{{{{{{Steph}}}}}}}}] For me it has always been like a window - it opens (opportunity and motivation to try again), and I choose whether to go through it (ACTUALLY try, and do...). As long as I don't crawl back thru the window (or in my case, usually break down the door!) and go back to my old attitude and habits - I can do well.
It's when the window gets left open too long (or, when I dwell too long on the pleasures of overeating, or eating trigger foods, when I start to fantasize...), that I get in trouble.
No dwelling. Instead, when I got the candy to work, instead of looking longingly, I thanked God for helping me thru that little hurdle. Kinda like when I quit smoking - when I see someone smoking it's almost automatic that I thank God!
I've only been doing this (again) for about 2 months this time - so I am by no means solid. But I am really sick of the roller coaster - and sick of holding up pants that are 10 feet wide in the butt-OHM. Grrr... I also just look forward to FEELING better!
And so - 4 more lb, that brings us to 127!

Well, I've been sick since last night. Had a bit of yogurt earlier.
