Congratulations!!!!I agree about being tired of holding up pants that just seem too large. I can never believe that they are mine.
Well here it is....
Last week: 224 lbs.
This week: 221 lbs.
3 more pounds down!!! Total = 12 lbs. gone!!!
Glad to see everyone is doing well!!!
Congrats on your loss! I agree about the pants thing. I went from shopping in the Jr. section before I had the baby, to shopping in the Plus section for 2 years afterward. I got tired of walking past mirrors, and asking myself, "Who is that?" Oh yeah- it's me...ugh.
Woo hoo. Good job :).Isn't it always time to go shopping???
But of course, it's always shopping time. I'm a bit in the mood for some retail therapy today and am going to see if my sister is interesting in lunch and shopping.
ha ha ...I would LOSE wt - because I'd lose access to the fridge!
Well I made it thru hallowe'en candy, had bought a large bag and only had 2 trick or treaters - took the remainder to work! yayyy!
Good for you Zoe. I didn't have buy and candy this year and turned off all the lights and no one came to the door. I did eat a bit of candy at work though.
OK, tally time for me :). I lost 2 more this week for a total of 13 pounds. Yay!How's everybody else doing? Thank God H-ween is over. Got a lot of walking done, and only stole 2 Hershey miniature darks from the kiddos. They didn't want 'em anyway. :)
Kudos BBF!!!
WooHoo guys! We are kicking weight-loss behind - yeay! The Halloween candy is too much of a temptation for me, so proud of you that can avoid it! I'm glad I have clinicals this weekend, hopefully it will be busy and I will walk constantly to make up for the chocolate, hehe.
My weigh-in partner is headed to Hawaii next week, so I have a feeling we won't weigh for a couple of weeks, so my goal is going to be to make sure my jeans continue to fit, LOL! That seems to be the hardest thing to do anyway.
Have a great weekend y'all!
I have trouble with the candy too. This is the slippery slope time of year for me - Halloween to Christmas...so much eating going on.
2 more pounds - but there are two scales at the gym. One is a home bathroom scale and one is a bigger, more professional style. Not the kind at the hospital or docs office though.I'm going with the low estimate.
When I was trying to sleep last night I got out my Atkins book to re-read. I got to the "Induction" chapter, which I'm doing right now, and it was mentioned that you will be surprised about not being hungry. I forgot about reading that the first time. I am experiencing NO APPETITE. Weird.
Did an hour on the elliptical machine and then did 20 minutes of weights.
What is the deal? Why am I being good? Who took over my mind and body and what did they do with Stephanie??

GO JB!!!
Congratulations, Zoe! That's great!:balloons:
Oh those weren't MY pounds, I was adding what BBF and Steph accomplished :) But I did lose a solid pound last week so I am happy!

A pound is great. I was looking at this educational thing from the wellness department at my hospital today. It said that it is not possible to burn more fat a week than 1-2 lbs. due to the amount of calories it would require to burn more than 2. It stated that anything over 2 lbs is either water or lean body mass.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!

I know the feelling. My living room has a mirrored wall that I walk past coming out of the bedroom and turn and look "who is that fat old guy???"........

Oh gracious Tweety, be nice! lol ... well there is also such a thing as "body dysmorphia" (I think it's called), where what you see in the mirror is distorted EITHER way. You see yourself as larger than you actually are, or smaller.
In my case, I have an "above the shoulders" mirror at home - so I always think I am smaller - til I go into a dept store or something LOL
One GF had a mirrored wall across from her toilet - now that is BRAVE! ha ha!
{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}}}} have a good day!
Tweety - they have those "slimming" mirrors, ya know.
Well, I'm back from the woods. And I fell off the low-carb wagon. We went to a restaurant that serves those logger's breakfasts and I could smell the potatoes frying and I had to have them!!! I ordered two eggs scrambled with country fried potatoes and wheat toast. So, out comes this HUGE plate 3/4 covered with potatoes. I barely ate the eggs.
I'm not getting on the scale today because I know just that plate of taters will add the entire 10 pounds back. :trout:
And geez, if I can't stay away from carbs, how can I ever be judgmental about people who are hooked on nicotine or alcohol or meth? Hmmmmm. How?
Tweety - glad you got the day off. I'll be at they gym as soon as I drop off Danny at school.

Congratulations!!!!
Luckily, I am not a big candy person. Have fun at clinicals!!
Way to go!! No appetite, I know about that. I am trying to add in a snack here or there, but I keep forgetting. Just as I think about it, I realize oh it's time for lunch!
I agree about being tired of holding up pants that just seem too large. I can never believe that they are mine. I don't see myself as big until I see a picture, or I fold my pants! I wish you much success and remember you haven't failed until you quit trying!!!!
