It is such a glorious day here. We went to the river, not up as much as I would have expected, but running fast, gonna take a dogs for a swim later today, but ZOE...I saw your turkey again, it had to be the same one, I had to wait for it to finish crossing the road. When we left for our drive, we saw nine deer at the side of the road, we paused to watch them..............am much more relaxed this afternoon.

i wish i lived where you do :)
i'm having a good weekend at work!
and i'm having a great weekend called off of work. both yesterday and today. they did offer to let me float . . .
Greetings!
I'm back after a long absence, but this time with company--I'm dragging my DH and DS.
That's because DH had an MI. Scared us all because he's not even 50 yet. Needless to say, we're all pretty highly motivated to get the risk factors under control.
He's quitting smoking and going on a heart-healthy diet, as he's overweight. So DS and I decided that we could all stand to eat healthier and lose a few hundred pounds between the three of us, so we're all doing it.
So, good news is, no more arguments in the kitchen about what to eat. Empty-calorie snacks have been banned from the house. No more dining out, even at work.
I asked DH if he wanted to join WW, but he said no, so we're just eliminating obviously fattening foods and he's using the diet guide they gave him in the hospital.
Tonight we had a lean piece of pork loin, which I flavored with a wee bit of Szechuan sauce, and then chilled some blanched fresh green beans with fat-free Italian dressing.
We're not actually keeping track of calories, but I know he's losing. And we're going for walks each day also.
Angie, I read about him in your blog. I'm sorry to hear that. Dad had a heart attack and it was a wake up call for him as well. That was about ten years ago and he's fine now. He's in his 70s and is a basketball referee at high school games, running up and downt he court.
Good luck to you as well.
