Zoe, I thought about that too with the heart rate. I have been checking it pretty regularly to make sure it doesn't become elevated again, but it's been fine the past few days. I really think it was just anxiety. ;)

Hi travel!

Hi everybody!

Glad you're feeling better. Way to go with the 7 lbs.!!!

I ate very healthy today. I'm still down in the dumps, but it's garden variety. Moving the ex out of my house and coming home alone hurt. No need to worry though. :)

Tweety......sorry you are feeling down in the dumps....can emphathize with you on the moving someone out......is never easy.

Zoe, maybe I should suggest those "shoes" to my dtr, she is 5 foot even. She hates it. Her step-brother used to put the dishes up high in the cabinet on purpose, just to irritate her.

Sarah, congrats on the weight loss.

Update on job.....should hear something tomorrow........

Just a quick hi to all 'til later!

Sarah - give us a ping to let us all know you are okay. I saw on the weather channel parts of eastern CO were hit by tornado's, not sure if that was close to you?

Yep, well, when she is older she will appreciate being vertically challenged (I am still waiting, ha ha) --

I had a good friend - well, she used to be a good friend. She once said that us short women made out better because we could choose the taller AND the shorter guys, but QUIT TAKING THE TALL GUYS! I TOLD her that they picked ME, I didn't pick THEM, but she was NOT happy. Notice the "yelling". She really held that against me.

(hee hee)

Hmm, HOW MUCH more???

Good for you for doing what was right!

I'm on the short end, too--a little over five feet. My driver's license credits me with an extra inch which doesn't quite make up for the rather loosely gauged weight I have on there. I'm going to have to lose this extra before my license expires or they'll make me prove my weight by standing on the scale there

But my husband is 14 inches taller than I am and he puts stuff up high all the time without even thinking that there's no way I'll ever even see it, much less be able to get it. I tell him he should dust up there, but he's rather uninclined and since I can't actually see the dust so high . . .

Aw, Tweety. Mope for a while and then feel better, OK? {{{Tweety}}} It's sure never easy, is it?

Sarah--awesome. Seven pounds is a lot! Way to go. Don't get so skinny you blow away if bad weather hits.

No gym this week and way too much sugar. But, I did organize my cd's (you probably don't remember that was one of my goals way back on the older thread) and that's something, I guess ;) And my house is getting cleaner one room at a time--that's definitely good for my mental health.

ha ha I feel ya woman. Actually I was 4'10 1/2 " at 25 y.o. so I could be less than even that. As to what I put down for the WT? (schnork... again, laughing thru my nose...)

Yes, an advantage to being short AND living alone! is not being able to see the dust on top of the fridge ...

... But, I did organize my cd's (you probably don't remember that was one of my goals way back on the older thread)...

HA HA - I don't remember that - but - you are cute ...

BTW I was up on my skates again today, did a lot better, one more time in the house and I will go outside with them. I dream of being able to skate on them to my counseling appt someday soon - my counselor is always trying to get me to exercise and get those endorphins going. But maybe not, if he sees me on skates and in my "gear" I bet he'll be on the phone to the white coats, HA HA HA!

When you short people talk about not seeing the dust, etc...I quit feeling sorry for ya......I see everything and therefore must clean everything......lol

My daughter, besides being 5" even, looks 13. She is really 24 and has two kids and I know what people are thinking when they see her out with her kids.........again lmao.

Zoe I think we should get to see a pic of you on skates.

Sarah......did you get the tornadoes? My Dad and I watched the one in Oklahoma yesterday, then my sister came home and yelled at me for not throwing my daddy in the closet or bathtub.........the image of me wrestling daddy cracks me up.

I finally got ahold of my best friend ever, and she and I met last night. It was wonderful......she and I will go months without seeing each other and when we connect it is like no time has passed. We have been friends our entire lives.....which is a long time......Speaking with her has helped me get out of my funk and motivate me to do better.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, I am headed for a nap.......work tonight........a little worried about what the temp at work will be, but will hold my head up and stand my ground...I know I did what was right.

Thank you guys for your support.

Hi everyone & thanks!

Sorry I don't have time to respond to everybody, so I'll give you the low-down.

The Tornados were about 40 miles from us, so a little too close for comfort, but we are thanking God they were not at our door. All of our little towns are really coming together to gather supplies, clothes, toys, money, whatever for the survivors. The lady that was killed left behind two little kids, one of which was badly injured & is still hospitalized, so that is a very sad situation. I plan on going through all my kids's toys & clothes after clinicals this weekend to donate to the town. We are very lucky it stayed to the east of us, but it is still nerve-wracking. I have always had a huge fear of tornadoes and incidents like this do not help. I'm hoping for a calm spring in our town.

Thanks everybody for the positive vibes on the weight loss, I am so glad I am getting the ball rolling with it and I hope it keeps momentum!

Hope everyone is well. (((HUGS))) to all who need them.

Have a great weekend y'all!

Sarah,

I am glad you are okay. Isn't it wonderful how everyone pulls together at a time like this?

I know the tornado we saw was approx. one to two miles away, very close.......but having lived in Oklahoma most of my life, they don't scare me......of course if it was headed toward us, we would find shelter.

Keep up the good work, I hope to join you soon........on the weight loss.

Liz

Hi everyone!

Sarah - SOOOO glad to hear you are okay! 40 miles away is close enough when it comes to tornadoes. We had a couple pass that close last week too. It was out in the middle of no where, thankfully. Good for you and your neighbors for 'rising to the occassion'!

Having a pretty good week this week overall. One little slip at an open house (mmmmmm, chocolate chip coconut dessert bars....), but plenty of trips to Curves, a few sessions with the Yoga tape, regular water, fruit & veggies.... No change on the scale but I'm feeling good so that's fine.

Off to dinner, a salad with grilled chicken is in my future!
