It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Hi everyone!Zoe - hope you haven't broken anything yet! Sorry, that's not exactly a vote of confidence, is it? ....
Gotta go, furry dog tail demanding butt scratching as I make every effort to finish typing!
Haven't broken anything but I will keep on trying! lol
Seriously, haven't tried yet, I was too busy this am - but will try tomorrow. I will just be doing it in the house hanging on to things at first. And I have all the protective equipment (gown, gloves, mask...)
Made me laugh about the tail, my cat pesters me that way too - (it's kinda gross! but I get the cat brush out and she loves it!).
Guess you got your exercise taking the animals out, eh?
Blue, loooove your avi. Very nice :) No hikes, I was on nights this weekend and had a huge test Monday and my very last care plan due by 1700 today. There should be some kind of ceremony for turning that in, LOL. I've got graduation fever, I'm afraid. It's all I can do to keep studying
We have a test we have to pass covering all of our schooling before we graduate that is at the end of next week. That's what I'll be doing, plus work, plus regular school, plus kids, plus . . . But once it stops snowing I'm planning on going out. It's funny how the same snow can seem so inviting before Christmas, yet so annoying come March, eh?
Zoe, bring your blades and I'll bring my bike and we can hold onto each other for dear life as we careen down the street. We'll do great as long as the street doesn't end, forcing us to stop

Congrats on La Care-Plan Finale! You should plan your own little ceremony. A little late for today - maybe a nice capuccino or something to start your day with flair tomorrow?

Right on right on (re the care plan) - foo! There are going to be a few more "lasts" before you graduate, but I have every faith that you will make it!
As to the bike/blade, er, "phenomenon"... guess we can't practice THAT indoors CAN WE - the kids would REALLY laugh at us! lol
looks pretty funny in my OWN mind!
Blue.....filed a formal complaint via my agency yesterday......now just waiting to hear back.....dreading going back to work friday.
Sounds like you are doing good......congrats on that
Hiker......Congrats......I swore I would never get rid of those careplans...after all the effort they took.....have no idea when I finally tossed them.......lol
I want to watch Hiker and Zoe......careening down the street together.....lol
I admire you both.....
Hope everyones day is good.
Hi everyone!
Blue, yes, I am feeling a bit better. I started classes last night and that helped a lot. I feel much more settled now and my heart rate has returned to normal - LOL!
Well guys, victory!!! I have lost 7 lbs. since last Tuesday - WooHoo!!! I think I am losing it a little faster than I should, so I'm going to have to be really careful about that, but it feels sooooo good to be making so much progress!
How is everybody doing today?
Oh definitely Blue! I was actually kind-of worried about that but I refuse to be anorexic! (That word doesn't look right to me, I wonder if I spelled it right . . . hmm.) I have been working on eating healthier though and moving a lot! I have been walking, doing a lot of cleaning, playing with the kids, etc. and that I think has made the biggest difference for me. I have been eating protein bars for breakfast (before I never ate breakfast) and then something like that or a salad for lunch. Then I have been eating about 1/2 of a serving of meat at night paired with a salad and at least one other veggie. I feel so much better and even my brain feels less in a fog. I think getting rid of all the sugar is really helping me and putting healthy things into my body is providing me with lasting energy rather than quick energy that wears out right away.
Thanks for the kudos, you are right, keeping it off is going to be the hard part, but I am determined. I have too much to live for and I want to be healthy so I can stick around, watch my kids grow, and interact with them without being exhausted.

Hi ER! Wow, I hope the complaint does help! Good for you! I can imagine the dread of going back ...
As to admiring me - shcnork (that is me laughing thru my nose) -- I am SO GLAD that you can't see me! ha ha

Congratulations and I am so glad you are feeling better! I just had a thought, is the increased HR due to rapid wt loss? be careful - if you are using the book check for references to rapid wt loss, they may have specific instructions on how to slow this down if necessary (I know you don't WANT to but ... you don't want to get sick either!) I AM proud of you tho re the willingness (which is HUGE) and discipline! and now being back at school - bravo! stay in touch!
Zoe.......you crack me up......and by the way......where did you get your avatar...I love it
Well, I had on my "new shoes" in my apt while I did dishes, put away clothes, etc. Mostly, just walking and getting used to being taller (I'm 4'11 and talk about YEE HAW!) ... a little rolling but not much... my arches are KILLING ME! I'm pretty much flat footed anyway - but I think it's from the tense way I was moving around with the skates on.
As to the avatar, someone sent it to me in a jpg file via email, not sure where they got it - I love it too!

Hi everyone!
Zoe - hope you haven't broken anything yet! Sorry, that's not exactly a vote of confidence, is it? I'm projecting. It's what I would do first thing!
Tweety - hope you aren't too trashed after moving!
Sarah - Are you feeling any better?
ER - how is work going?
Hi to everyone else too!!
Good week so far. Eating good, Curves yesterday, did a yoga tape today before work. Dogs to vet this evening for their yearly shots. Poor dogs, it's so traumatic. One is really afraid of the whole process, the other gets really stressed about the other dogs there (could care less about his shots or the vet, where the heck is the cookie dam it!) Both survived. We decided they need more road trips, they are out of practice lately.
