Zoe, those darn armadillos dig holes that I swear go to China. We live on mostly rock, have to have dirt hauled in to plant flowers and veggies, and I hate it when they root underneath and eat the roots off everything.......is very expensive......plus they carry leprosy.

Sarah.......glad you are enjoying yourself......keep it up.

Zoe.....how go the skates?

LEPROSY????

The reality of school is trickling in. Books are starting to arrive.....

Okay, time go get the ol circulation moving. Hope everyone is having a good day!

One day at a time - Vegas first - LOL

I'm eating a bowl of broccoli...

You are SO good! {{{{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}}}

I'm not fat, just 9 months pregnant! And carrying in my legs as well as my belly, LOL. And for anyone who can't read between the lines . . . just kidding ;)

\

Had me going there...

I had a little kid in my apt. complex ask me when I was gonna have my baby ... ulp... um, it's just from eating too much, honey ...

bats fly around...

Bats. There she goes with the bats again. LOL

I have had a nice migraine and nausea off and on, better today, but I am so leery of myself, my hormones are making my emotions SO unpredictable, I just don't want to see ANYone! sigh... so, since I can't "see" you guys - here I am. I work at 3 today.

HI guys!

We have a mock JCAHO survey in progress for 3 days, so I'll be in and out quick, may just lurk for a few days....

Did make it to Curves yesterday after I got up. We ended up ordering pizza for dinner, but I ate less of it and made a salad, so improvement over the usual routine there.

Hope y'all are doing okay!

Sorry about the truncated response--computer decided to freeze up on me after I hit the "post" button and I'm just now going back to see what posted and what didn't.

I just want to thank everyone for your support and the encouragement that I felt when I read about people who had been successful in changing their lifestyles.

I couldn't believe it today when I got on the scale and it said 245. Thought I was seeing things!

Or... I had taken a med last night that I was supposed to take with food and a glass of water. Not wanting to eat after getting home from work, I just took the pills and drank the water.

Bad move. Turns out I don't have a cast-iron stomach after all.

So I'm not counting that as true weight loss.

Anyhow, it's occurred to me that sometimes God allows things to happen in our lives so that we can be reminded that we are dependent on Him. And that I trust Him. We've had a lot of things go wrong this week, but in the end, God's trying to help us, not hurt us, and I believe that He's protecting us and guiding us.

That thought is keeping me from nervously chewing on anything edible. (Anyone ever figure out the caloric content of fingernails?) ;)

DH is sticking to the diet. I don't even think he's had the low-fat ice cream that we got the other night. I had about 1/3 cup. Sometimes all you need is a taste.

Had a nice tuna salad for supper and some soup.

DS lost 5 pounds. I only know because we had to weigh him for his graduation duds. I'm really looking forward to that. He's been eating a lot of salads lately, judging from the dishes sitting around his room.....

*sigh* Kids will be kids.

First off I want to let everyone know how much I appreciate their humor, their advice, and the fact that we get on here and tell what is happening with us.....the good and the bad......while we have not met in the physical, we have met in the emotional.....and I like that

I went to a funeral today, of a gentleman that I had never actually known, went with my Mother. The underlying theme from all of his family and friends was that you knew he loved you and really cared about you and that is how it should be.....so I want to let you guys know that I really do care about you, how you are doing, your ups and downs, and that I pray for you.

Now.....enough sappyness......

Angie......my Mom and I were talking today about the bumps in the road in our lives, and I reminded her that God promised to use everything to his good. So, while it is trying going over those bumps, I know that there is something wonderful at the end.

Blue.....being a traveler I have managed to participate in two jcaho surveys and survived them both.....glad they are over.

Zoe.....I know it sounds funny, but I love to watch the bats swoop around eating the bugs.....my sister calls them mice with wings....I don't think she cares for them like I do.

Tweety.....congrats on your choice of foods, sounds like you are doing good.

Hiker....you are always welcome, as is anyone to come visit...is so peaceful here.

The funeral was held beside a creek that runs into the river, outside, the coffin was brought in on a horse drawn wagon, and the casket was handmade......was a beautiful day for a funeral.......does that sound strange? We all gathered to celebrate his life and his being home and reunited with his wife.

I know there are some that I forgot to mention, but you all are in my thoughts tonight.

Now, going to go sit outside with a glass of iced tea and yes.....I'm going to watch my bats before going to bed......lol

Right back at you :redpinkhe :icon_hug: I feel the same way about all of you, too.

That funeral sounds awesome. My husband's father died a few months ago and although it was, of course, very sad; there was still an element of joy. His wife had been dead for many years and I imagine that reunion must have been wonderful. I told my husband I'd like to be buried in a homemade coffin under some big trees. Simple, but returning back to the earth.

{{{{{{{{Angie}}}}}} As to the wt loss, I try not to weigh (at all) I mean, any more often than once a month ... too discouraging all that up and down etc...

As to God - NO DOUBT in my mind that He has a master plan over my life, over yours, amen, amen...

As to the son, yes, sons will be sons LOLOL

{{{{{{{ER}}}}}}}}}}}} I wuv you too sniff sniff - it's ok to be sappy - but try to keep it to a minimum! LOL

Mwahhh hahhhh hahhhh

Zoe.......I am sure alot of people think I have bats in my belfry.....lol.....but it was too cold last night for the bats to be out, and it was too cold for me to sit outside.....so drank my tea in the bedroom and didn't see any bats:(....lmao

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, I have to do my last minute cleaning before MIL comes to town next week.

ANd......think they resolved the issue at work......they are suppose to pull her off the schedule when I work.....so I will work with one tech and limited patients...which is fine with me....but I won't hold my breath until I get back and see what they are really doing.......level of trust is way down with this hospital

Hi all!

Well, as usual I'm in a hurry. Trying to finish a care plan so I can get to studying for that test tomorrow and then, when I'm done with that, gotta study for the final on Tuesday - yikes!

Anyway, I was good mostly yesterday except I did eat a taco from a fast food place last night, but it doesn't concern me that much because I really have been good other than that.

I only lost 1/2 a lb. this week, so my body must be acclimating to my dietary adjustments - that's ok though because I feel good and my clothes look much better on me - yeay! Gonna try to get in more exercise before I weigh again next week as I have slacked a bit on that.

Tweety - your breakfast burrito sounds wonderful BTW - I may have to give something like that a shot.

Hope y'all are having a good day, sorry I don't have more time, maybe after my final next week I can get caught back up.

Take care everyone!

ertrav., that is so sappy, but is nice. I wish more would join us, but I'm glad there's been at least a few here to help me.

Sarah, always good to hear from you.

I went to the gym today and am eating well. :)

Hi everyone!

>>>>. Back at ya! And I'm with Zoe, sappy is good, but can only be handled in limited doses (like ice cream!)

Eating good and exercising.

1 more day of survey. The Gremlins are out in force. Lotsa weird things happening at work while mock-surveyor is here. she is digging LOTS deeper than the real guys do. Guess it will make us better for the real deal, but meanwhile........

Gotta run. Maybe this weekend I will bell you some buzzard stories to go with the bat stories.
