Sarah, I think you might be able to order it online, but I don't know how that'd be, since it's dairy and has to be cold. I live in the middle of the huge Phx metroplex and I had trouble finding it at all the stores around me (I have a Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Sprouts all within 5 miles of my house). I had to drive to a Trader Joes about 15 minutes away to find the 0% fat greek yogurt. It's soooooo good though, hopefully you can get it somehow!

They other night I put the yogurt on my baked potato .... it tasted so fattening! lol

Oh wow - well, I probably will be out of luck. I will look though the next time I go into Pueblo - maybe there is some place there that has it. I don't know about online, their idea of overnight delivery out here is 2-3 days. One of our child support workers ordered an "overnight" DNA kit for one of her cases and it took 3 days to get here - she was pretty miffed. I have ordered doggy vaccinations overnight too and it's taken at the very minimum 2 days to get here - thank goodness it was cold and the ice bags held up. Hmm. I will keep looking though - it sounds really good!

You might be able to find at least the 1% or 2%, which is still really low in fat. Better than nothing! I was able to find the 1% and 2% at all the stores around me, just had a hard time finding the 0%.

Has anyone here tried Greek yogurt? I have never liked American yogurt but a coworker had me try Greek style and I love it! I add some Splenda and fruit. It's very thick and creamy, low in fat and good source of protein.

Hmm, will have to try it. Is it tart like regular yogurt (which I hate)?

i just recently tried the fage greek yogurt, very different, but very yummy!! to me it tasted exactly like sour cream, but even better ..... and it has no fat and it's actually healthy, wow. very good stuff.

that's it! trader joe's brand is also good. i buy the 0% and 2% fat and switch each day. i especially love it in the summer when i can have it with fresh berries on top. now, i settle for thawed frozen.

[color=#483d8b]i've actually found the fage yogurt at a & p supermarkets here in the northeast. not sure if they have them where you are, they're a big chain store. also at trader joe's. the cashier's must think i'm nuts as i buy like 20 at a time :clown: !

yes, until you add sweetener. the difference with greek yogurt , is that they strain it extra, extra well. the end result is an extremely thick,creamy product. it is the consistency of sour cream. i've heard that people use it as a lowfat substitue for sour cream as well. i've tasted it before adding my splenda and it certainly could pass. it tastes a heck of a lot better than that lowfat/fat free sour cream.

[color=#483d8b]i also don't like that tart yogurt taste but i'm hooked on this stuff. i never ate yogurt before trying this. i would eat maybe 1 dannon light every 2 years!

do you just eat it plain or do you add fruits/nuts to it? i added some frozen blueberries to it the first time i had it and it was ok, but not the best. i found that it tastes more like sour cream and it just doesn't go well with fruit, but i love to use it as sour cream lol. i don't know what to add to it to make it more like yogurt.

i add splenda to taste ( i like a lot) then add fruit. sometimes i also sprinkle with a high fiber cereal such as kashi go lean crunch. that adds crunch with fiber and some added protein too.

[color=#483d8b]if you don't do artificial sweeteners, you can add sugar or honey too. my sister hates splenda but likes it with sugar.

for those of you that do cardio exercise, how much do you do??

[color=#483d8b]currently i do between 50-80 minutes 5-6 days a week.

[color=#483d8b]sometimes i break it up into 2 workouts. i know that's a bit much, i'm stuck in a minor wt. loss plateau.

[color=#483d8b]i'm about 4 lbs. from my wt. goal. in about 2-3 weeks, i'll cut back to 50-60 min. per day, 4-5 days.

[color=#483d8b]

[color=#483d8b]also, anyone do weights? i'm starting with light weights, 2-3 sets.i find that my legs are very strong and my arms are quite weak!

hi cas -

that does seem like a lot of cardio. but if it feels good, hey, why not? besides, that's 50-80 minutes in a day that i would not be eating!!!

as to the strength training, i just love it - makes me feel good all over. i have 5 lb wts for when i'm at home, but i like the circuit machines (like the old "nautilus" but i can't remember what they call them now)

Hi Sarah!

You might get lucky if you have any shopping trips planned into Co. Springs for any reason. Bring a cooler. Wild Oats should have it there.

Cas I do 40 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week. With me working OT lately it's only been three. I break it up into two machines because it's so tedious. I always have music and something to read. I used to run a lot and that wasn't so tedious, but my knee went back, so it's indoor non-running cardio for me now.

I also do weights and abd crunchs. I have one routine I do one day and the next time I do another routine. This way I'm catching different muscle groups and not excercising the same muscles two days in a row, which I've heard isn't good, that you need to rest.
