Greetings. Deb is going to put a sticky on this thread and eventually delete the other.
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Nope, nursing school. I've never smoked, thankfully, because if I had stopped, the stress of school surely would have caused me to start again![]()
BTW, I did spend an hour on the elliptical today :-). Now, if I could quiet down my sugar habit to a reasonable amount . . .
Yeah, I was 15 when I started and it was just to tick off my father
Good morning peeps!!!Today is day one of my "diet". I mainly just want to detox from the poor eating and get back to a healthy vegetarian diet full of more fruits and vegetables and no junk food. If I loose a pound or two, that would be nice.
I'm going to the gym this morning.
God bless you and your efforts Tweety! :) I hope we can all get on track a bit better -
{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}}}}}} how was your day yesterday?
Zoe - Congrats to you on the weight loss!! Great job!!
Tweety - Good luck with your diet ..... I know you'll do well with it.
No matter how many times I say "I NEED" to workout more, I never do. It seems like I always make excuses. I used to say I couldn't run because I didn't like running by myself outside, it was too dangerous. I'd say I'd start running if I had a treadmill. I've had a treadmill for a couple of years now and do I use it? No. So I've made a decision. I'm going to join Curves. My mom and sister are willing to join with me. I'm actually pretty excited about it. I need something that I'm paying for and that I can go to ...... so I will actually GO and use it. It's just down the street too, which makes it convenient and I won't be able to say I don't want to drive all the way out there, or it's too far. I just have to do this. I think they have some kind of eating plan too, that I might check out. I just hope this works out. I need to do something so I'll feel better.
Here's to the start of a great new year for us all!!
Good luck Rain. I play the same game. I'd feel too guilty to be paying for something I'm not using which is why I buy my gym membership for 3 years at a time. So if I quit going I'm wasting a lot of money.
Thanks Zoe. Yesterday was o.k. We had a good day at work. Lots of good food. I ate the free meal with was London broil. Which was probably the first red meat I hate since February. It was good.
So far day one is going well. I decided not to weigh. I know I have a few pounds to loose so what?
Hello all,
Okie dokie. well, today is day 2 of "healthier living" for our little family. The war wages on and honestly that is okay. I still peek at the scale and watch its up and downs, which can be frustrating. Oh well, eventually that will come under control too.
Food for these last two days has been okie dokie overall. Nothing perfect by any means; but, still movement in the right direction.
we are slowly winning the battle for ds2's oral care. flossing, brushing, etc. has finally improved. today he said, "mommy, i'm brave." Oh my goodness, yes he was. ds1 is now becoming difficult in the oral care department, when he wasn't previously. ds1 has no cavities. ds2's teeth are more challenging, which is my fault. i wasn't as aggressive with his teeth.
dh, :blushkiss :1luvu:
. nuff said.
off to bed . . . and tomorrow morning my walk.
enjoy all your exercising everyone. And thank you, for welcoming me into this haven of support.

Mind if I jump in, friends? NS and working have added a good 20 pounds to my short little body in the last year and a half--and I still had a good ten pounds to go from my baby when I started school.I'm going to head over to the gym and put in an hour today--that should make up for the candy I've been "sharing" from the kids' stockings. Maybe not, but it should still feel good...
