Having difficulty using the left leg. not sure why it just doesn't seem to run correctly. I am going to try to retrain my brain how to use the leg and foot. The left leg is shorter than the right one so we'll see how this goes first.

Are you going to check this out? Maybe PT. I have trouble w/ my neck and shoulders and every so often I need to remind my body how to use it.

Hey Zoe,

I don't know whether I will have it checked out or not. I think I will alternate walking and jogging to retrain my brain. I'm finding that I notice the difference in my gait when I jog versus walking.

Soooo, I decided to jog a few paces, then walk a few paces--with a specific focus to adjust the stride/gait of my left foot, ankle, and leg.

Now then, does that mean I know what the heck I'm doing? NO. It's just an idea that I have been trying.

So far it's okay, and I feel okay. If my knees ache or feel unusually uncomfortable, I slow down to a walk. If necessary, I walk slowly focusing on the left leg.

I learned that I don't walk from heel to toe on the left. Instead, I plop the foot on the ground. No wonder the leg muscles didn't seem to get a decent workout, when walking. I feel more muscles in my left leg now.

Now, I just hope the cottage-cheese-lumpy look will disappear from my thighs and stomach. Don't have the $$ for surgery.

Hello everyone,

Time for me to check in.

Brkft was a cup of coffee with vanilla creamer and a bowl of cereal.

Lunch was chicken Del Taco burrito--no rice or beans. I had a coca cola to drink.

Snack was another cup of coffee with pumpkin spice creamer and 1 yoplait yogurt.

(DS2 was sick last night. All the caffine was to stay awake today. So far, he is sleeping much better than last night. We'll see.)

Dinner was 1bratwurst and a serving or 2 of broccoli.

No dessert.

Now, off to bed.

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.

That's good that you are listening to your body!

I suspect that if you had a little protein w/ each meal esp bkfst you wouldn't be too hungry and your wt would come off quickly-er and healthier. Your body probably thinks it's starving!

I hope DS is feeling better! xo

I'm studying stats . . . .:o

I've maintained the 10 pound weight loss but haven't lost anymore. My exercise routine is uneven. My diet is too.

Have fun tonight - :balloons:

Howdy, again....

Still having trouble logging on, so not here much.

I have now lost 20 pounds since finding out I am diabetic. I keep thinking if I put more effort into it, what kind of weight loss I could have, but figure this is better anyway.......slow and sure.

Congrats to everyone

Liz, slow and steady seems to be the best way to go.

Hi Zoe,

Yep, you are right. I do need more protein; so, I added more. It does help.

Hi everyone,

Ds2 is much better. The antibiotics kicked in quickly. He is now off the inhaler and the otc childrens medicine. We are pretty much only using the antibiotics.

Thanks for the positive feedback, guys.

Today, was pretty good. I managed to get in 3 servings of vegetables and ate chex mix for a snack. I had a sandwich for dinner with tangerine slices from the neighbor's tree, and have had 2 cups of hot chocolate soy milk for desert.

No further jogging and walking these days. I want to go; but, ds2 is still recovering from that sinus infection. I'm trying to stay in on the cooler days.

I was really tired today and needed a nap. (I usually feel this way on Mondays.)

Well, gotta go to bed. I have some paper work to complete early in the morning.
