I'm in Nevada and took HCA's mandatory supplemental "survey." I was honest about being over 40, and took a while to think about the questions.
I googled "pre employment survey" and found out too late you are timed. If you don't go really fast- if you think about the answer it will flag you. ??
I obviously failed- they sent me the rejection email apprx 12 hours later.
Does anyone have any experience in how to answer these questions?
I tried using the search box here on this website and it's not working ?? that's why I'm making a new post.

I'm pretty sure HCA has in their file that I'm a sociopath, because whenever I have applied for a job with them, even those for which absolutely perfectly qualified, my status becomes "not under consideration" within 2 hours. Sadly, that shuts me out of about 4 local hospitals.
maybe it would be worth you while to find out?

You have to answer the questions telling them what they want to hear. "I love people" "I love to follow directions" "I am a perfectionist" I love group meetings" "I love a challenge" "I exist to serve mankind" etc.
I absolutely answered the questions as though I love love love everything-
I'm so obsessed with being labeled a big NO I've done nothing but read about these tests.
I'm about to part with money to buy a training program how to be everything they look for in a nurse.
I know they don't want confrontation- workplace violence what they screen for in that question about getting "really angry" and confronting the coworker, but idk what the right answer is.
The whole "group-working in a a group" questions- I totally answered I love groups. I love co-workers..
Slow and steady question.. noo but I think it should have been yes? Doing one thing at a time.. noo

Also I know of a couple places where if you apply and don't get the job, you pretty much have to Wait 90 days before applying for another position at the same hospital otherwise you will immediately have your application rejected. If you're not under Consideration within 2 hours that may very well be the case
Unfortunately it didn't say which one it was. But now that I've obsessively done nothing else today but research it, I can say that once you know the traits they are looking for, it's just a matter of practice understanding which questions are testing which traits.
And I'm so dum, I don't know anyone who works at Sunrise so I didn't have ANY warning this was some bizarre weed out tool, I literally thought it was a survey to rate the application process and website, etc. Then lo and behold I'm roped into something I was 0% prepared for. And when I think about the unfair advantage of just being warned so many ppl with friends working there had- it just makes me angry. Maybe their true intention is to weed out ppl not in the "know".
I just researched the &%@%*! out of it lol all day today and the traits they look for in different nursing areas. Well, New Grad and ER only. It's very interesting once you know what they are looking for. They ARE looking for very specific traits. And you most definitely can prepare yourself. As long as you know the traits and you practice enough. I just wish I'd had warning so I could have gotten a decent test result in with my resume. I sure won't ever not pass one of these things again though. I should have stopped in my tracks when I read "There are no right or wrong answers," since when has that ever been true in life? LOL :)
I think I can apply for another position.. But they may or may not send the link for the "survey"- and if they do they may or may not send the (new) results. You don't "have" to retake the "survey" for a year.
The way I see it, my messed up survey was "last year" and the new one now that I know what I'm doing is "this year!"
(They say they want positive attitude as a trait. There it is!)

For the jobs I've applied to, it says that they keep the survey results on file for either 6 months or a year, so it doesn't give you the option to retake it every time you apply for something else.
It might. I don't have a huge burning interest to work for HCA, though. I just kind of find it amusing/annoying.
"As part of the application process, all applicants must complete the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center Survey. It will take 15-20 minutes to complete.. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers, so please respond to each statement in an honest manner.
If you have previously completed this Survey when applying for other employment opportunities in the past 12 months, the recruitment team has the results of that Survey and you do not need to complete it again."
I don't know if by a glitch in the system they would get the new results sent to them or not.
