Hello, I am an LPN working in psychiatry. I have recently applied for a position in LTC as I am interested in working with the elderly. I was scheduled for an interview at the nursing home I applied to. Upon arrival, I found out the interviewing nurse had had already left the facility for the day! The lady at the front desk came back handing me a sticky note with the interviewer's phone number advising me to call her to set up another interview. This was mind boggling! I told the lady that the nurse is welcome to contact and set up an interview via phone or Zoom if she was interested. I'm I crazy to think these people are unprofessional? I have several other interviews scheduled and feel like this is a complete waste of time. Any advice?

Advice: Look elsewhere. It's already foreshadowed that you won't be valued there.

I would move along. You can be assured that was a preview of their communication style and lack of professionalism. That's unacceptable.

LOL.
I could accept if they were appropriately apologetic and told you they would be reaching out to you pronto in hopes that you would be willing to reschedule....oversights and unforeseen conflicts do happen even in good places, after all. But they didn't do that and you have other prospects; I'd check those out first.

Personally, I love psych. I would much rather work in psych than a LTACH.
Regardless, when you dodge a bullet, don't go trying to race back in front of it. Given this incident, would you truly want to work there even if they did offer you a job?
