"The corporation made over $7 billion in profits over the past two years, and HCA CEO Sam Hazen received $27 million in total compensation in 2019, his first year in the position. Hazen and other executives reportedly took pay cuts in 2020, citing the pandemic, but based on his 2019 salary the cut equates to less than 1% of his total compensation."
Typical unsustainable business model rewarded for insolvency while we the people struggle and die.
