Have a RN license# does it mean I pass?

I just check Maryland BON under "License Verification" was surprised to find my name and a license# (starting w/a "R") w/an expiration date of 2008. Does it mean I passed the Nclex?:uhoh3:

or is it Maryland BON puts every Nclex candidate name on the list pending the result?

I took the nclex last wed (July 18) result letter should be in 5-7 days. I'm so nervous I don't want to use the Pearson Vue quick check.Anyway its just a few days away.

Appreciate if any Maryland RN can verify this.

Oh Thank you Lord and also to you guys! My daily prayers was answered.

What I don't understand is: isn't Maryland is a member of the compact state. How come on my license (That's sounds good!:lol2: It indicated "Maryland Only" so does that mean I can't practice in the other member state?

hey bunker congratulations! just wondering did you pay for license verification check? or you used license look up is that the same guys? just wondering i pass on july 10 illinois RN, and i'm still waiting for the mail for application for the license, check license look up not in there yet.

Yep what I did is, use the license verification of the local BON.No need to pay because this is a public record lookup for license verification use by hospitals and institutions. Actually I didn't expect to see my name coz I just took the exam last wed july 18. I was just playing around.My result suppose to come in 5 days so I'm still waiting. But I'm glad they did my license first.

Congratulations on passing and becoming an RN.

Boards of Nursing do not post names and assign a license number to the name until they meet all requirements for licensure.

Thanks Suzanne4, coming from you means a lot. I was confused at first. I thought MBON post everybody's name on the website. But upon reading it more closely, it is really an active license complete w/license number & expiration date of 9/08, it was posted the day right after my exam. I took Nclex on 7/18 by 7/19 it was already on the MBON website. That's why I'm kinda leery at first. But after reassurance from you guys I thank God for answering my prayer. It took me the whole 265 questions for 5 hrs. The first 80-100 I was confident but it keeps going and going and going that's where I really start to pray.(I know the machine is having a hard time determining my ability) That's where I start to lose my confidence.

Appreciate the people here in this forum for giving me the psychological support and answering my questions. Thank you!
